Biography
Andrei Gavrilov was born on January 27, 1952. After graduation, he became a student at MGIMO, where he was able to get an education that allowed him to work for ten years as an international TASS reporter. In the 1980s, he gained popularity as a columnist for foreign music; it was from his pen that essays and annotations to records of popular Western musicians came out. At the same time, he became interested in cinema, and began to engage in author translations.
Gavrilov actively corresponded with Leningrad poets, some of which were later published in magazines and some books. In the 1990s, Andrei Yurievich worked in Ostankino, where he periodically appeared in the announcements of certain programs that appeared on the then emerging Russian television. He also periodically announces the broadcast of the prestigious Academy Award with his colleague Yuri Serbin. Now the actor is actively engaged in dubbing new films, also works on the Silver Rain radio.
