Childhood and career choices
Benjamin Milpieu was born on June 10, 1977, in the family of a musician and teacher of modern dances. It is clear that in such a family he was waiting for a career as a dancer. Benjamin's mother always helped her son in his desire to become dancers, and already at the age of 7 years the boy was fully engaged in his favorite business. From the first lessons, the guy showed amazing results, and after several months he performed on stage. By the way, he invented his first dance himself and performed very well, immensely delighting his parents.
Learning and ambitious goals
The little dancer was very plastic, and when he entered the Lyon Conservatory, he chose the faculty of classical ballet, which was absolutely the right decision. The only problem was that he was too young to enter the conservatory. But after speaking to the commission, which was delighted with his "tricks" on the floor, he was accepted to courses. With full dedication, he studied and gained experience, and after graduating, his unambiguous dream was to go to the States and conquer the American audience. And so, without a moment's doubt, he entered the New York Ballet Academy. And here his talent was above such a young age. Benjamin Milpieu was younger than classmates, and at that time he was only 16 years old.
The young dancer had another dream, he wanted to get on television. It happened with ease, because it is impossible not to notice such a talented and bright Benjamin. Very soon, he received an offer to star in commercials. Very quickly, he became recognizable and popular, especially among women. Ben was lucky enough to appear in commercials for such a popular brand Saint Laurent. Plus, the famous photographer Patrick Demarchelier was just delighted with working with a guy.

Career of a talented dancer and not only
Benjamin did not stop working and improving as a dancer. He received offers of cooperation from such famous personalities as Prelzhokazh, Eifman, Balanchine and from many others. He did not stop performing in ballet productions, and basically received exclusively the main parts. But at one point, Benjamin Milpieu realized that he was ready to move on and develop in a different direction. In 2001, when he was 24, the man announced the end of his career as a dancer.
The end of a dancer’s career was only the beginning of greater success. Benjamin takes charge of the choreography. And a year later, the newly made choreographer staged his first performance, which was well received by the public. Then Ben's rather successful projects went, which allowed him to become a professional in his field. Soon, the guy moved to Paris and staged the play "Why I'm Not Where You Are", which also succeeded. Incidentally, Milpieu had experience in the cinema. So he worked with director Owen Hurley. And in 2009, he was invited as a choreographer for the filming of the Black Swan thriller with Natalie Portman in the title role, and also played one of the film's secondary roles.
