Dmitry Fomin is a well-known Russian singer, songwriter, director, producer, actor and presenter. Winner of the awards "MUZ-TV", "Golden Gramophone" and "Song of the Year". For 10 years, from 1998 to 2008, he was the soloist of the Hi-Fi music group.

Dmitry was born in January 1974 in Novosibirsk. His dad worked at the Electrotechnical Institute of Telecommunications as an assistant professor and possessed the degree of candidate of technical sciences. Mom was a patent engineer. Dmitry has a sister, Svetlana, who graduated from Novosibirsk, and then the Milan Conservatory. Now lives in Italy and works as part of an early music ensemble.
The father and mother of the singer at birth gave him the name Dmitry, but always only Mitya was called. A popular artist does not like to be called by his full name. He considers the name Dmitry a stranger, bearing a completely different linguistics and character.
After Dmitry Fomin graduated from high school, he entered the medical university of his native city. However, barely starting his studies, the guy took a leave of absence and went to England, then to the United States of America, where he began studying English and composed music. After living a year abroad, the future popular singer returned to Novosibirsk. He graduated from university, but, having received a diploma, did not go to work in his specialty, but decided to enter the theater institute of the capital.
But VGIK Dima had to quit, because after some time living in Moscow, a young man met his friends from his hometown - producer Eric Chanturia and composer Esenin Pavel. They invited Dmitry Fomin to become the leader of the Hi-Fi music group, which instantly became popular, and talked about her soloist throughout the country.
Creative activity
Fomin's musical career began quite successfully. Mitya signed a contract for a period of 10 years. During this time, the team released 4 albums, having toured the whole country with tours. The most popular compositions of the musical group beat records of all the charts of Russia.
However, in early 2009, the contract ended, and Dmitry Fomin decided that from now on he would perform solo. A year later, the singer began to collaborate with the famous producer Max Fadeev. But, having released a song and one video clip, Mitya ended cooperation on a promising contract. Since that time, he independently began his career. During this time, the singer released three albums.
