Biography

Dmitry Shishkin was born in 1988 in the capital of the Urals - the city of Yekaterinburg. He was brought up in an ordinary family. In 2005 he graduated from high school, after which he entered the Ural State Law Academy. There he studied in graduate school at the faculty of art and cultural studies.

Even in high school, Dima began to sew clothes for himself. He was not impressed by the "store" fashion. Expensive and inexpressive things caused the young designer to be rejected. Despite the fact that our hero was madly in love with tailoring, he still chose the legal one as his first education.

Having entered the university, Dmitry Shishkin did not forget about his hobby. Unexpectedly for himself, he noticed that his classmates design is liked by classmates. Already in the first year of study, he had regular customers among his comrades in the academy. An enterprising young man began to develop in this field of activity.

Career start

Thanks to orders for tailoring, Dmitry Shishkin from Yekaterinburg collected a decent amount for the third year of study at the USLAA. With the proceeds, he created an original men's collection, which he presented to fashion professionals at the Eurasian Fashion Week forum in 2009. A successful debut at the iconic site served as an impetus to business development. In a short period, a fashion house under the SHISHKIN brand was created. Gradually, the studio grew into a manufactory and a group of companies.

Fashion designer

The first years, SHISHKIN Fashion House specialized exclusively in the individual orders of wealthy citizens. Things were going well enough, but the company did not have enough scope. Pleasant changes came in 2015, when the management of the Avtomobilist hockey team asked fashion designer Dmitry Shishkin to create a corporate dress code.

The young designer gladly got down to business. The order allowed not only to earn a decent amount, but also to realize new creative ideas. In addition to the costumes themselves, the fashion designer developed a sports uniform and branded accessories, which became an invaluable experience for him. As Dmitry Shishkin noted: “This is a very interesting and non-standard order. But with this he hooked us. The result exceeded all expectations. By the opening of the sports season in 2014-2015, we dressed all team members and coaches in unique outfits. ”

In the sports environment, the efforts of the SHISHKIN fashion house were appreciated. A year later, three teams turned to Dmitry for tailoring company suits at once, including the famous HC Ugra.

From strictly style to sports fashion

Unexpected attention from sports clubs led the fashion designer to expand the scope of activities. In addition to classic men's clothing, Dmitry Shishkin and his team began to develop tracksuits, including for the fair half of humanity. To do this, in 2015, the Bespoke atelier division was created.

A more careful analysis of the market showed that well-known domestic fashion designers are not actually engaged in this area. Associated with this is the not very expressive form of the Russian Olympians, which many experts criticized. Shishkin also believes that the Olympic collection was unusually unsuccessful, and offered his services in developing sports models for future forums. In particular, for the football team for the 2018 World Cup.

The gained authority has allowed us to strengthen partnerships with every fourth KHL club and every third team of the Russian Premier League football. Customers order both classic dress suits and uniforms, fan attributes, accessories. The lack of competition has allowed expanding the business through the creation of Uniform atelier.

Production

The Bespoke atelier Syndicate is located in the center of Yekaterinburg. Production capacity is 500 m 2. The team consists of 55 experts of the highest level, who monthly sew about 2000 products. Most of the premises are occupied by a sewing workshop. There is also an office for clients, a design bureau and a show room. The main products are:

  • Coats are strict, everyday (including with a hood).

  • Suits are wedding, ceremonial, business, informal.

  • Shirts are classic.

  • Trousers are costume.

  • Elite accessories.

The second enterprise - the innovative factory Uniform atelier - was introduced a year ago. It is also located in the central part of the metropolis, covering an area of ​​1200 m 2. Over a hundred employees work here. Capacities are calculated on tailoring of 10000 products that allows to promote production to masses. The second stage of the factory, whose work is scheduled for the end of 2017, will allow three times to increase productivity.

Production has a high degree of automation. Most of the technical processes are performed by machines with the highest accuracy and unattainable performance for humans. On robotic systems, a unique licensed software is installed that allows you to quickly reconfigure the operating parameters and switch from one product to another.

The rapid development of production affected the profitability of enterprises. If in 2016 the turnover of all factories approached 130 million rubles, then in 2017 it is planned to achieve indicators of about 260 million rubles.

In the future, Portnovskaya Manufactory Group of Companies plans to open another 3 sewing ateliers in the Ural region. Gradually, the company plans to reorient part of the production to sewing clothes, affordable for most buyers.
