New Year's holidays have passed, now people are actively getting rid of Christmas trees. Forest beauties that used to decorate houses now lie in landfills. Veteran Jamie Willis from Texas found Christmas trees a useful use: he makes canes from them and gives them away to other old people for free.
Problem
After retiring, Willis faced one problem. Free, as promised by the state authorities, the man received a cane, but the item turned out to be very fragile, frail and quickly broke. And then Willis faced a lot of inconvenience: buying a quality cane would cost a pretty penny, and without it he simply could not leave the house.
Charity organization
Willis's attention was attracted by one charitable organization. Its director Oscar Morris came up with a brilliant idea: to make canes from New Year's trees, which after the holidays lie in landfills. Items made from natural material are very durable and of high quality.
Willis contacted Morris and he immediately gave him a cane. The veteran thanked the man and asked if he could become a volunteer. The director of the institution happily agreed. Soon, Willis opened a branch of a charity in his city.
