This emergency, which occurred in one of the sleeping areas of the capital, overnight caused a wide resonance in society. And in many respects due to the fact that one of the “Central Asian” migrants, whose hundreds and even thousands come daily to Moscow, has once again become its participant. Naturally, the flow of “cheap labor” from the CIS countries that flooded several years ago negatively affects the level of the criminal situation in the metropolitan metropolis. The authorities, although they are trying, still cannot restore order in migration policy. In the meantime, immigrants from Central Asia continue to commit odious crimes in the country that provides them with work. And the criminal story that happened in West Biryulev is a vivid confirmation of this.
A walk with a deplorable finale
Initially, nothing portended trouble. Loving couple walked towards the house. We are talking about a young man Yegor Shcherbakov and a girl Ksenia Popova. At the very entrance, a man of "non-Slavic appearance" approached them and weighed a few insults at Yegor’s companion.
Naturally, the young man tried to intercede for the honor of his girlfriend and got into a verbal skirmish with the offender. He soon pounced on him with his fists. And then the migrant went on to more active actions: he took out a knife and inflicted a penetrating wound on Shcherbakov’s heart. After that, the criminal (they turned out to be a native of Azerbaijan Orkhan Zeynalov) first went at a slow pace, and then quickly ran away from the scene. He nevertheless managed to escape. Of course, Egor Shcherbakov and Ksenia Popova did not expect such a radical outcome of the conflict. The girl immediately dialed the telephone number "03" and tried to drag her lover to the entrance. But alas, the twenty-five-year-old boy died a few minutes later, even before the ambulance arrived. The killed Egor Shcherbakov was an ordinary young man with his own circle of interests. He was fond of cars, showed interest in sports and adored his lady of the heart. Ksenia Popova, describing the details of the crime, emphasized that the man who approached them seemed insane to her: she suggested that Zeynalov was under the influence of drugs.
Public response
But no matter how professionally the killer acted, he still did not take into account that his act fell into the overview of cameras located in the residential area of Moscow's Vostryakovsky passage.
Residents of West Biryulev no longer doubted that Yegor Shcherbakov had died at the hands of the "Central Asian". After a resonant incident, the public came out to protest. About one and a half hundred people went to the building of the West Birulevsk Ministry of Internal Affairs and organized a picket. The participants in the event demanded retribution for the crime, as a result of which Yegor Shcherbakov lost his life. Among other things, the picketers demanded toughening the responsibility for illegal migrants and legalize the right to carry firearms for civilians. Moreover, the protesters were set up in the most serious way also because the day before in the district there was another major murder. Someone shot a VAZ-21099 car in which there were people, one of whom received a bullet in the head, and the other a knife wound.
But the activists had one more essential demand: to close the West Biryulevskaya vegetable warehouse. The picketers were sure that the merchants who worked there knew who had committed the murder of Yegor Shcherbakov.
One way or another, but by evening the protest rally had already gained momentum. Picketers forcefully burst into the building of the Turquoise Trading House, in which representatives of national diasporas “kept” trading premises, and started a fire there. Other protesters expressed dissatisfaction with local government policies in a classic way: they built barricades from garbage cans and upturned cars …
The stock gains mass
This is the public reaction that followed the murder, the victim of which was Muscovite Egor Shcherbakov. Local authorities, of course, were forced to call riot police to restore order, whose representatives began to detain activists and deliver them to the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. However, the unrest in Biryulyovo continued to acquire large-scale character: an increasing number of Muscovites began to join the picketers. Soon, all the surrounding streets were blocked by protesters. As a result, additional law enforcement forces were pulled into West Biryulyovo.

After some time, about 3, 000 activists still dared to head for the vegetable warehouse, which was already cordoned off by law enforcement agencies.
As soon as picketers began to flock to the object, law enforcement officials began to take measures to prevent activists from getting into the vegetable warehouse. The police tried to break up the protesters into small groups and thus push them away from the venue. But without clashes and clashes between the opposing sides, the matter was not complete.
"Vortex"
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia Kolokoltsev himself had to intervene in the situation. He instructed his deputy A. Gorov to restore order in the area where Shcherbakov’s murder happened. Soon in the area of Western Biryulyovo, the Vulkan interception plan was announced. But he did not give any significant effect: the activists were not going to disperse, and the killer of the young man continued to walk free. The picketers staged pogroms and riots in the streets, thus deciding to express their protest to the local authorities. They made it clear that Egor Shcherbakov (Biryulyovo - the area where the incident occurred) suffered from the short-sighted and careless policies of the capital's officials. In turn, Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin harshly criticized the participants in the unauthorized rally, who deliberately violated public order.
At the same time, the capital's mayor assured the activists that the perpetrator of the murder of Yegor Shcherbakov will be punished according to his deserts.
What did the cameras fix?
And after a while, the public recognized the contents of the video recorded by external surveillance cameras. The frames show that the criminal begins to pester a young girl for no reason, blocking her path to the entrance of the house. He tries to hug her, but the girl, protecting herself from the stranger’s attacks, begins to cry. Only by a miracle the victim manages to escape from the clutches of a maniac. Soon, a taxi stops at the entrance of the house, from the cabin of which Ksenia Popova and Yegor Shcherbakov leave. The offender immediately switched to a new victim. The cameras clearly captured the face of the attacker …
Search for the killer
When a detailed identikit of the killer was compiled, the police began operational investigations. The leadership of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate appealed to the representatives of the national diaspora to provide all possible assistance in the capture of the criminal. It was not difficult to establish his identity. A native of Azerbaijan Orkhan Zeynalov was in the field of suspicion. In the capital, he worked with his uncle, who runs the vegetable business. The offender was engaged in the sale of cucumbers, potatoes and tomatoes.
He rented an apartment located in Borisov passage. Watching the news on television, the landlord of Zeynalov’s housing identified the killer in him. Frightened by retaliation, the killer hastened to leave the capital. But thanks to the efforts and coordinated work of the operatives and the help of members of the Azerbaijani diaspora, they still managed to find the whereabouts of the fugitive.
Arrest
Investigators went on the trail of the criminal just a few days after the murder of Shcherbakov. He was arrested in Kolomna near Moscow in mid-October 2013. At the same time, Zeynalov showed serious resistance during the detention. Realizing that he could not "get out" of justice, the migrant said during interrogation that he acted solely in order to protect himself. However, investigators found a different version of what was happening: the seller of vegetables deliberately inflicted numerous blows to the victim, after which he took up cold steel and stabbed the young man. But the suspect was not going to plead guilty, claiming not to be involved in the murder in West Biryulyovo. However, Zeynalov’s fellow tribesmen from the Azerbaijani diaspora did not cover him and indicated that he had committed a high-profile crime.
As it turned out, the vegetable merchant already had problems with the law. Journalists managed to find out why the Zeynalov Guard was sitting. Once, a native of Azerbaijan, being in the driver's seat of a car, did not want to miss a motorcycle, which caused a major accident, as a result of which a young couple suffered. In addition, it turned out that Zeynalov was engaged in illegal transportation of passengers.
