The main venues of the festival

Festive events these days cover the entire capital. Therefore, every lover of sweets can come to the jam festival in Moscow - the sites this summer are spread out in all areas. There were 22 of them, of which thirteen were located in the central part of the city.

In total, more than two hundred trading and restaurant establishments, chalets, were located in the capital, in which it was possible not only to purchase, but also to taste aromatic goodies. Each site was given its own name: “Apple Square”, “Juicy Embankment”, “Watermelon Square” and other, no less appetizing names.

Moreover, they all prepared their surprises for Muscovites. For example, the highlight of Tverskaya Square was a grandiose maze, designed on a watermelon theme. And on the Arbat a colorful oriental bazaar grew, where they offered jam made from fragrant melon, dogwood and cherry plum.

Festival Program 2015

Millions of residents and guests of the capital visited this summer the jam festival, the program of which was surprisingly rich. Sweet fairs were amazingly popular. The main events took place on Pushkin Square. Here, more than four thousand square meters were taken for the holiday.

A fruit stadium, spread out here, took a considerable place, where both adults and young visitors to the festival were invited to play their favorite familiar games in an unusual way. For example, play basketball with watermelon or table tennis with plums. In addition, the first Moscow fruit games took place on the square. Guests of the sweet fair could compete in high-speed eating jam or sports dancing.

The sites located in the districts were combined into one fruit town. As conceived by the organizers, each festival day was dedicated to a particular fruit, in whose honor one of the districts was named.

The main action of the sweet holiday was the first show of ballet on roller skates. The production was created based on the favorite for many fairy tales “Cipolino”. Everyone who visited the jam festival could visit it. The closing ceremony took place on August 23.

For lovers of large installations and modern art objects, there were also many interesting things. A giant symbol of the festival was established at all venues - a jar of jam with a height of more than two meters. Each of them can be called a real work of art. All banks are painted by masters from the capital's union of artists: they depict fruits and berries, flowers and enchanting alpine landscapes.

Also, large-scale installations were installed at the sites. For example, a light watermelon more than ten meters high or an exposition of fruit and berry sculptures.
