early years
Alena Valentinovna Savchenko was born in 1984 in Obukhov, not far from Kiev. Parents worked as teachers. The future champion had three brothers. In 1987, for the first time, she was presented with skates for her birthday.

It was then that Savchenko Alena got her first experience. When the girl was five years old, she was sent to the section. She begins to practice at the ice rink, which was in Kiev. In 2014, Robin Sholkova decides to end his sports career. This was due to the upcoming wedding and the desire to focus on family life. The skater at that time was only 30 years old. She was not going to leave big sport yet. Her plans are to take part in the Olympics in 2018.
