Installation and its features
Using laminated drywall as a finishing material in the room, it can be installed in several ways:
- Wireframe mounting method.
- Frameless mounting method.
Each method has its own characteristics.
Frame mounting from profile
This installation method requires the installation of an additional metal structure. Profiles are used as a frame on which double-sided tape is glued or coated with special glue.
Work begins with an internal angle by fixing the L-shaped profile from aluminum to the wall using self-tapping screws. Fasteners are located from each other at a distance not exceeding 40 cm.
Joints are fastened with omega profiles, and inside should be a decorative strip. So that the external corners do not deform and are reliably protected, an F-shaped profile is used.
Frameless mounting method
Installation by this method can be performed ideally only on a completely flat surface. It will be necessary to carry out work on thorough cleaning, leveling and degreasing of those parts of the room where the laminated drywall will be attached.
When the surface is ready and thoroughly dried, double-sided tape is glued to it or coated with special glue.
This moment in the work is very important: the basis cannot be interrupted - it must be continuous, otherwise the quality of work will be reduced. Strips glued in parallel should be located at a distance of 40 cm from each other. Now the main task is to clearly get on the line with an adhesive base.
