Belarus is famous for having the oldest forest in Europe on its territory. Imagine huge trees, impenetrable thickets, thickets and enchanting darkness. That was just a few hundred years ago almost the whole of central Europe. But now the cradle of the animal and plant world has survived only in a small piece in the south of the Republic of Belarus. It is not surprising that in the country you can find many unique plants that are on the verge of extinction. The Red Book of the Republic of Belarus tells about rare species. Plants listed in it can be found only in single copies in some regions.

The question of preserving rare species of flora and fauna arose a long time ago. Scientists were engaged in this in the USSR. The modern edition of the main environmental book is the third supplement, which has incorporated many new species. The list of plants of the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus includes 137 names of vascular plants, 27 bryophytes, 21 species of algae, 24 lichens and 29 mushrooms.
These classes are the most difficult to guard. They are very susceptible to environmental influences, which means that after a few years they may not be in the country. So, during the construction of a highway on the hills of Kryzhovka, a small area of sleep-grass was destroyed. When the Minsk Sea spilled, the bathhouse ceased to exist, and due to severe air pollution in the forests, arnica began to disappear. The Red Book of the Republic of Belarus cannot protect these plants from accidental extermination, but it can stop them from deliberate.

Forest Anemone
These are beautiful white small flowers growing on the hills and edges of the forest. There are five petals and a yellow center. It grows with a bush, looks very beautiful. In folk medicine, it is mainly used to treat toothache and headache.
Backache (Meadow's Dream)
Perhaps in the marshland you met a small purple bell, fluffy and completely covered with small hairs. This is lumbago meadow. It blooms in late April and early May. It contains the Red Book of Belarus species of lumbago meadow in two editions. Now the population is sharply decreasing due to the massive drainage of swamps.
Ostroholodnik hairy
It is a small herbaceous plant growing in shrubs. The flowers are small yellow, collected by a cone on one stem. It grows mainly in meadows. Very much appreciated in folk medicine. The main secret is alkaloids, which are found in large quantities in the roots. An infusion of this herb is used to relieve stress and treat infertility.
Astra steppe
This plant is also known as Frost. Beautiful bluish-purple small flowers with a yellow center. Grow by a bush, on one branch there can be many inflorescences. Steppe astra is a potentially endangered species, which is also listed in the Red Book of Poland. It is popularly known for blooming before the first frosts. The Red Book of the Republic of Belarus contains many plants, and it is not for nothing that this species is mentioned among them, because of a change in the chemical composition of the soil of its habitual habitat, the aster dies.
Curly lily
A beautiful unusual flower, in common people called the royal curls. On a beautiful straight stalk, sometimes reaching one meter, the crown of a flower flaunts. Color can vary from light pink to dark pink with bright burgundy spots in the middle. Propagated by a bulb that has a golden color. The plant has very valuable aesthetic properties, so they learned to cultivate it in personal plots. It is very rare in nature, mainly in broadleaf and coniferous forests, rarely in pine forests.
