Lamar Odom is a former professional American basketball player. He is also known for his relationship with one girl from the popular Kardashian family - Chloe, whom he married in 2009. The marriage was weak, and the couple together lasted only four years.
Biography
Lamar Odom was born on November 6, 1979 in New York. His childhood was rather difficult. His father is an avid drug addict, and his mother died of cancer when the boy was only 12 years old. As a result, grandmother Mildred took up his upbringing.
The first three years he studied at the school “Christ King Regional High School”, where his love for basketball originated. However, here the guy did not take root. Then he replaced several other educational institutions: in Troy (Redemption Christian Academy) and New Brittany (St. Thomas Aquinas High School). In his youth, Lamar played in the same team with such famous American basketball players as Elton Brand and Metta Peace.
In pursuit of education, Lamar Odom entered the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, but very soon became the epicenter of the scandal in which he was accused of violating the rules of the institution. After that, he transferred to Rhode Island University. Here he played as part of a local team, so they entered the 1999 University Championship.
Career at the National Basketball Association
Lamar managed to prove himself in many professional sports clubs.
From 1999 to 2003, Odom was a member of the Los Angeles Clippers Club. He played well as part of the team, as a result of which he was included in the First National Team of the NBA rookies.
From 2003 to 2004, he played for the Miami Hit club along with American basketball player Dwayne Wade. However, later, Lamar Odom and two more players from the same club are replaced by Chaquille O'Neill.
