Despite the fact that a person considers himself the king of nature, she often shows him her power. Rampant elements cause involuntary fear in each of us, because there is no force that can stop him. An icy tsunami struck New York on Monday, February 25.

Walls of ice, rising 9 meters in height, sailed along the Niagara River Boulevard and creeped through the parapet with an eerie noise.

This year in February, temperatures reached record low, which triggered the appearance of ice floes. The temperature drop and strong wind pushed ice blocks to the shore.

During the day, the appearance of monstrous ice floes was recorded on the shores of Lake Ori and on the banks of the Niagara River, near the border with Canada. The videos show how jagged blocks rage over the edge of the lake and move, as if obeying unprecedented power.

Hazard Signal

The police informed the drivers that care must be taken. At the same time, special raids were conducted on residential areas on the eastern outskirts of Lake Erie. Here people were offered to leave home voluntarily, until the danger passes.

Locals say they haven’t seen anything like it in the past 50 years. There were storms, but there was no such thing as ice crawling on the walls of houses and overwhelming the courtyards. Emergency services crews make rounds of houses to establish the extent of destruction, damage to power lines.
