In the last race of the season in one of the turns, the Hamilton car stalled. As a result, he took seventh place, which did not allow him to become the champion of Formula 1 in the debut season.
But the British did not have to wait long for the championship. Already in the next season, he was able to win Formula 1. After the victory in Australia, Lewis took 5th place in Malaysia, he was 13th in Bahrain. After that, he was able to return to the podium. 3rd, 2nd and 1st places the rider took in Spain, Turkey and Monaco, respectively. After the gathering during the grand prix in Canada and 10th place on the stages in France, Hamilton was able to win 4 podiums, 2 of which became gold, in five subsequent races.
