Irmeline Indenbirken and her husband George DiCaprio once traveled together to Italy. While visiting the museum, when a pregnant woman was looking at a picture of Leonardo da Vinci, her son kicked her for the first time.
She thought that this was not a coincidence, and decided to name her son Leonardo in honor of the great artist.
Childhood Leonardo
When little Leonardo turned one year old, his parents decided to divorce. The boy was raised mainly by her mother.
Irmelin had to work as a secretary at several jobs at law firms to provide for her son. The woman’s money was still small for which she had to save. They often moved from one area of Los Angeles to another.

Although Leonardo’s parents did not reconcile, in the matter of raising their son, they could always agree among themselves. Their son grew up and became a famous actor - Leonardo DiCaprio.
In an interview with one of the entertainment magazines, Leonardo said: “My parents always did everything they could for me. We lived poorly, but they tried not to concentrate on it. They gave me culture. They took me to museums. They showed me art, they read books to me. Mom spent two hours in the morning and evening at the wheel to take me to classes."
The beginning of an acting career
Leonardo in childhood decided that he wants to be an actor. At the age of five, he was removed from the filming of the children's television series Romper Room for his passion for destroying scenery and shooting equipment.
