The Moscow metro station “Perovo” was launched on the eve of the new, 1980 - 12/30/79. The opening of the station was timed to coincide with the Olympics-80, held in the Russian capital. It was named after the village, and then the city of Perovo, then located in the vicinity of Moscow region. Since the beginning of the 60s, this city has been part of Moscow, and is called the Perovo district. The station has two more design names - Vladimirskaya and Perovo Pole.
Station location
The Perovo metro tunnel was laid on the site along which two Vladimirsky streets stretch - 2nd and 3rd, as well as Zeleny Prospekt. This subway under serial number 114 belongs to the Kalinin branch, which includes 9 more stations. It is located on the Novogireevo - Enthusiasts Highway.
On the territory of the Eastern AO of the capital, the Perovo metro was laid. The area through which it passes is called Novogireevo. Its underground exits allow people to get to Zeleny Prospekt, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Vladimirsky streets. From it there are exits on the streets of Novogireevskaya and Bratskaya.
Design features of the station
The one-vault metro station “Perovo” with an average daily passenger flow of 58, 000 is laid to a depth of 9 meters. Monolithic reinforced concrete was used to build its tunnels. Vaults of underground corridors are mounted on vertical walls "in the ground."
The station hall is equipped with one direct island platform. An intermediate non-stop station without track development is equipped with 8 crossings overlooking two underground vestibules, which operate from 5:25 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
Subway halls
The station is equipped with two vestibules passing underground. They stretch under Green Avenue and rest against the subway. The western lobby is equipped with six exits to the streets of the capital. Of them fall on the 2nd Vladimirskaya street and various points of Zeleny Prospekt. The eastern lobby is equipped with two exits to the metropolis, to the area of Green Avenue.
Metro design
The interior of the station is made in the Slavic style. The design of the Perovo metro station is dominated by shades of white, introducing lightness and spaciousness into the halls. The themes of the architectural and decoration of the platform and the lobby are based on elements of folk art.
The ornament on the stone panels is similar to the images on printed popular prints. The composition of marble panels included traditional Slavic characters. These are vivid symbols, the origins of which have gone far in ancient times. They are loved by the people and for centuries have been used to create decor.
Artists L.A. Novikova and V.I. Filatov managed to harmoniously combine in them the sun, breathing life, the left, guarding the house, the horse, symbolizing strength and prosperity, the bird Sirin, personifying happiness, and fantasy floral ornaments.
Facing walls and arches
The station walls are decorated with white marble "koelga" with pinkish tones. The basement is finished with black mineral gabbro. They are decorated with original panels with fabulous and mythical animals enclosed in a traditional rhombic cage. Thanks to such drawings, the wall acquires a peculiar rhythm.
On the walls there are 4 pairs of panels carved on snow-white marble in the Russian "mansion" style. In the center of the rhombic cells framed by a floral ornament is a key image. A panel depicting a bird sitting on a tree was placed in the station hall, to the right of the eastern entrance. The panel on the left is decorated with the fabulous bird of paradise Sirin, whose head is crowned with a crown.
The second pair of panels depicted the fabulous thing bird Gamayun and a lion. On one panel, a winged horse was drawn from the third pair, and on the second - two suns (one with a saddened one and the other with a clear face). The last couple combined a panel repeating motifs from what is on the right side of the eastern entrance, and a popular print with doves.
Entrance arches in the station hall are decorated with floral ornaments. To create a pattern on their gables, wet stucco carving technology was used.
Finishing ceiling vaults and floors
Narrow niches are cut into the ceiling arches, in which decorative zigzag shades are mounted. Lamps assembled in zigzag from gas-light tubes and metal plates cope with two tasks at once - they decorate the ceiling and illuminate the halls.
Original plafonds designed by famous artist M. Alekseev. Thanks to the interesting shape of the ceiling, the light on the ceiling arches spreads like a ripple of a feather.
“Perovo” is a metro station where the floors are formed of polished granite tiles. An interesting geometric ornament in Russian style is laid out from the tiles. The combination of pink, gray, brown and black shades allowed creating a beautiful harmonious pattern on the floor.
Apron Interior
Double decorative columns with light indicators were installed along the center line of the apron. For the convenience of passengers, they were surrounded by wooden square benches. Their broad sides are facing each other, and the branched ones go up. In general, the composition of columns and benches with decorative carved inserts is similar to dissected tree trunks.
Station lighting
The space of the station is filled with air and light. The halls are decorated with white lamps in the ceiling arches. They look like light lace, assembled from triangular motifs.
