The filmography of the menacing-looking man is so diverse that one can only guess: how much talent, humor and self-irony are in him to embody all this on the screen?
Idol childhood
On March 2, 1969, in Leningrad, a son was born in the family of Galina and Evgeny Porechenkov. Parents had very little free time: mom worked as a builder, so she often lingered at work; dad was a sailor who went on a voyage with enviable regularity.
That is why quite often they sent little Mishenka to her grandmother in the village for the whole summer. And there, the boy felt absolutely free: running from morning to night, he managed to spend the whole day in a meadow, in a forest, fishing or haying. In the evenings he barely had time to have dinner and immediately fell asleep from fatigue.
Abroad
Everything that little Mikhail Porechenkov (films with whose participation did not go off the TV screens) read in childhood was matched by his restless character. Books from the Adventure Library, which was quite scarce in Soviet times, were my favorite read.
Misha’s dad was sent to inspect the production process in Poland, at the Gdansk Shipyard. In the late 70s, the Poles were building ships for the Soviet Union. Because of this appointment, the whole family moved to another country. It so happened that they lived in Warsaw until 1986. The future actor Mikhail Porechenkov studied in Poland at a boarding school. It was at this time that he showed an interest in boxing.
Adolescence
After graduating from high school, Michael decided to leave for Estonia. There he entered the Tallinn Higher Military-Political Construction School. Although Mikhail Porechenkov (whose filmography at that time, of course, did not yet contain a single role) was not considered the best among all cadets, he still received a boxing CCM. Perhaps if he really wanted to, he would become a political officer, but one day he realized that he was not happy with military service. Subsequently, in an interview, he said that it would be very difficult for him to be inside a structure that would limit him at least in something.
It happened that the future star of the militants skipped school, and quite often. For which he was expelled from school. Before release, he had only ten days.
Stroybat on the way to acting
He was drafted into the army in the construction battalion. After demobilization, Mikhail decided to return to his hometown, Leningrad. Since he had practically no money, he had to work even in a baguette workshop. Finally, the time has come when the guy begins to seriously think about getting a completely new profession for him - acting.
Never in his life Mikhail Porechenkov, whose films are known in many countries of the former Soviet Union, did not regret his studies at the school. On the contrary, he gratefully recalled that time, because it was there that he had a chance to seriously engage in sports - wrestling and boxing. And when he became an actor and he was invited to the role of the military, this experience proved to be very welcome.
Through hardship to the stars
Mikhail Porechenkov, whose filmography causes sincere interest of fans, entered VGIK the first time. True, it was difficult for him to study, and he was again expelled. But it’s almost impossible to defeat people like this Russian knight. He did not give up and entered again, this time at the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (LGITMiK). All his efforts were successful, and in 1996 he received a diploma.
Ascension to Olympus
While still a student, Mikhail Porechenkov began his acting career. His filmography from this moment began to replenish at a rapid pace. The most serious, significant, but mainly his first work is the theatrical role in the diploma performance of the director Yuri Butusov “Waiting for Godot”. A beginner talented actor, who was also very athletic, charismatic and handsome, began to pay attention. He caught the eye of film producers. The first movie roles began to be offered to Mikhail.
The year 1994 has come. It was at this time that Mikhail Porechenkov, whose personal life from the very beginning of appearing on the screen was under the scrutiny of fans and the press, received the main role in Ernest Yasan’s erotic comedy “Wheel of Love”. His hero is a young man whose name is Cyril. By coincidence, he decides to come to work in a company that provides intimate services.
Russian Schwarzenegger
When the film was released, the actor realized what popularity was. But strangely enough, for several years after this rather successful work he was not invited to the projects. And only four years later, in 1998, he was offered the main role in the series "National Security Agent." There is a legend that at first they couldn’t choose a candidate who would embody the modern superman Lech Nikolaev on the screen. To put an end to the long discussion, photographs of alleged candidates were laid out in front of the ladies of the crew. They unanimously, without any doubt, chose Mikhail Porechenkov.
A very difficult 90s is the time when there was a huge number of Latin American TV shows on the domestic TV screen. The audience overeaten the foreign “soap”, and when the “Agent” appeared, they received it more than favorably. The main character, who was stronger than Robocop and Schwarzenegger combined, and smarter than Sherlock Holmes, from the first minutes of hire won the love and enthusiastic admiration of the audience. For several years of filming, Mikhail turned into a favorite of the whole people. But to the national titles such as “sex symbol” and “the brightest star of modern cinema” refers with a slight smile.
The actor does not forget about the theater scene. First, he served in the Lensovet Theater in St. Petersburg, then moved to the troupe of the Chekhov Moscow Theater. In recent years, the leader of many popular programs (“The Battle of Psychics”, “Forbidden Zone” and others) is he, Mikhail Porechenkov. The family strongly supports him in any endeavors and experiments.
