One of the most visited is the gingerbread museum. Gorodets has long been famous for the production of delicious and beautiful gingerbread, so it is logical that there is a museum in the city dedicated to this delicacy.
Since the 18th century, Gorodets gingerbreads were known in Russia, similar to paintings - with the help of special carved boards on the test intricate plots were printed. In Gorodets they knew how to bake a treat so that it did not stale for many months.

The museum appeared in 2008, the space “Gorodets gingerbread” is divided into 3 expositions:
- the history of gingerbread production in the XIX century;
- the history of the most famous artel producing a delicacy;
- as gingerbread cookies do today.
In the museum you can see printed boards with which drawings, photographs and samples of famous products, gingerbread houses were applied. In addition to the Gorodets, Kazan, St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Nuremberg cakes are represented.
And what a gingerbread without tea! Immediately presented compositions on the theme of tea drinking.
In the museum you can create your own gingerbread masterpiece, purchase a sweet souvenir and drink tea.

Museum of the Golden King
This is exactly what the samovar is called in the children's riddle, to which the museum in Gorodets is dedicated. People come here if they want their cherished desire to be fulfilled - after all, there is a magical samovar here that helps those who ask.
The basis of the museum exposition was the collection of the honorary citizen of the city N. Polyakov, who donated 400 samovars. Now the samovar museum has more than 1, 000 items and is the largest collection in Russia.
From the 18th to the 20th centuries, samovars constituted an indispensable part of every home; the exposition presents samovars of different shapes:
- "acorn";
- "egg";
- "glass";
- "ball";
- Sphinx, etc.
Samovars made of copper and nickel are made, there are silver plated. There are samovars in the collection, different in purpose: for the road, tavern, home, beloved guests, tiny “egoists”. They differed in the method of heating water.
The museum exhibits antique items related to samovars (tools for making and repairing, tea accessories, etc.).

There are unusual museums in Gorodets; the Gallery of Good is among them (10, Naberezhnaya Revolyutsii St.), which was opened in 2011.
The museum has collected good - what is today called household items or property. This helps to imagine how people lived in the late XIX - early XX centuries.
The exposition presents:

When repairing an old mansion belonging to the ship owner Plekhanov, a treasure was found in the wall. These 1, 700 banknotes are also on display at the museum today.
