Very often travelers are confused by the fact that there are several reservoirs with a consonant name, and they are all located in the Urals. For example, in the Chebarkul region - Bolshoi and Malyi Sunukul, in the Sverdlovsk region there is Lake Bolshoi Sungul. But ours is located in the Chelyabinsk region and has nothing to do with the above.

Big Sungul (Sverdlovsk region)

How to get to the lake?
To get to the lake from Yekaterinburg, you need to move in the direction of Chelyabinsk along the M-5 highway. Passing the Tubuk, we must turn to the side of Castle. Then, having passed Kisegach, before reaching Kasley, there will be a turn to Lake Sungul. Road signs will help you find it. It should be noted that the road to the reservoir is unpaved. In rainy times, it erodes and can cause some inconvenience to motorists.
Those traveling from Chelyabinsk need to move along the Sverdlovsk highway. Before the village of Tubuk, you need to navigate according to the road signs.
From Chelyabinsk, you can come to Lake Sungul by public transport. The bus to Castle runs daily. Approximate travel time is 2.5 hours.

Sungul is located at an altitude of 230 m above sea level. The lake is fed by rainwater and neighboring bodies of water, connected to it by ducts.
