Each person has an incentive to strive for the highest level of achievement. And in each case, stimulus and encouragement of their own. So, athletes dream of gold at the championships or swing at the Olympic. Journalists in their wildest dreams see themselves as Pulitzer Prize winners. Actors march along the red carpet for the golden statuette of Uncle Oscar. Scientists dream of a trip to Stockholm, and not by a simple ticket, but at the coveted Nobel Prize. However, not only chemists, physicians, physicists, writers and peacekeepers want this. Who is the winner of the Nobel Prize in … economics is also an intrigue that is allowed in the autumn of each year.

The youngest discipline

The Nobel Foundation was established in 1900. Since then, only the best of the best, world sensations, legendary scientists have been awarded this award. Nobel laureates in economics have been able to receive it only recently. This science was not in the famous testament. Since 1969, economists who have been awarded the Nobel Prize have been honored around the world. Before that, economics was not particularly considered as science, and the first laureates were scientists: the Norwegian Frisch (who introduced the now common terms macro and microeconomics and was engaged in recovery during the “Great Depression”) and the Dutchman Tinbergen (the mathematician who laid the foundation for the use of modern statistics in economics) who invented the method of mathematical analysis for economics. This was a breakthrough. It is worth saying that this award is established not by the very fund, but by the Swedish bank.

Distinguished Nobel Prize Laureates in Economics

Undoubtedly, every scientist appreciated by the world community immediately becomes the brightest luminary. From the very first presentation, more than 40 people became lucky (among whom are our compatriots). The second was Paul Samuelson - an extremely erudite person who reached scientific heights already at the age of twenty. His textbook, Fundamentals of Economic Analysis, became the main book for many young specialists and a handbook for scientists. However, he was awarded the prize for statistical and dynamic economic theory. Vasily Leontiev was born in St. Petersburg, but he became an American economist. He investigated the problems of the theory of "input - output", which allowed a different look at some problems. In 1975, the Russian conquered Stockholm again - for researching the theory of resource allocation, Tjalling Kupmans and Leonid Kantorovich were awarded the highest award. Leonid Kantorovich entered the most prestigious university at the age of fourteen, and at 23 he was a doctor of sciences. Recently, more and more scientists want to solve problems that could help people not only from the financial sphere - most importantly - to prevent global problems affecting all of humanity.
