Biography

Nina Matvienko was born in the Zhytomyr region (village Nedelishche) in 1947, on October 10. The actress became the fifth child of Antonina Ilkovna and Mitrofan Ustinovich. At the age of 4, the girl tried to help her parents by taking on chores and taking care of her brothers and sisters, of whom she had a total of eleven.

In 1958, the future singer began to study at a boarding school located in the village of Potievka. Despite the difficult life in the parental home and the difficulties that she had to overcome beyond, Nina Mitrofanovna to this day has maintained her cheerful disposition and faith in people. In her youth, the artist loved reading, athletics, acrobatics and the work of Zykina Lyudmila.

A school teacher tried to push Ninu to engage in vocals after hearing her singing voice. However, after boarding, the girl first worked as a copyist, then as an assistant to a crane operator. Hearing once again compliments in the direction of her singing, Nina decided to try her luck in samples for the vocal ensemble of the Zhytomyr Philharmonic. The girl was refused, explaining her position by the fact that her voice is intended for solo performance.

The next stage of life was marked by training in a Kiev studio at the folk choir. Ropes (teacher - Y. Krotkevich). In 1968, Matvienko Nina became the soloist of the team. Then she took part in the vocal trio Golden Keys and Young Voices. In 1975, the artist received a diploma from the University of Kiev (Faculty of Philology). Since 1991, the singer has been soloist in the ensemble "Kiev Camerata".

The repertoire of Nina Mitrofanovna consists of lyrical, ceremonial, ballad and humorous songs. She collaborates with many famous composers (A. Gavrilets, M. Skorik, I. Kirilin, O. Kiva, etc.). Matvienko's concerts were successfully held in Poland, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Canada, the USA and America.
