According to legend, the history of stickers begins in the late 1960s with a man named Art Fry, who was a chemist in the American company 3M, or Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company. In his free time, he sang in a church choir. Fry was always annoyed because his bookmarks dropped out of the music books over and over again. But stationery in those days was not so abundant as it is today.
Then he remembered his colleague Spencer Silver, who was trying to develop a new superglue. But instead of his idea, the man received only some sticky mass. Fry wanted to improve this glue so that it sticks well, but in the end it was removed without leaving any residue. Then the brilliant idea came.
In 1974, a man wrote a note on his first sticker and began to change the world.
