One of the most diverse, taking various images of minerals is the familiar feldspar. It is part of granite, and some of its processed varieties are considered semiprecious stones: labrador, moonstone, amazonite. A non-specialist will never attribute its various types to the same mineral - it is so diverse. It has a fairly significant hardness - 6 on the Mohs scale.
Feldspar has long been used by humans. For example, the secret of the finest and highest quality Chinese porcelain lies precisely in its composition containing the aforementioned mineral. Now it is used in the manufacture of glass and ceramics - why reinvent the wheel? Well, its more or less decorative varieties are used for various kinds of jewelry.

Mineral shungite is composed of carbon and hydrogen. Its quite easy to mix up with coal, but shungite is not burning. Who knows, maybe this is not without rational grain. Only one large shungite deposit has been discovered in the world, and it is located in Karelia.
Iron pyrite, or pyrite, is a yellow mineral with a beautiful metallic luster. During the so-called gold rush, it became a frequent prey for inexperienced miners, for which it was nicknamed the "gold of fools." However,
it’s quite easy to distinguish pyrite from gold - it cannot be scratched with a knife, but it scratches the glass effortlessly.
The ancients attributed special properties to this mineral, they believed that the soul of fire was hidden in it, which was reflected in its name. This belief was confirmed by the ability of pyrite to carve sparks upon impact with a steel object. In modern lithotherapy, he occupies a place of honor. It is believed that this mineral normalizes and harmonizes all processes in the body. A variety of properties are attributed to pyrite: from protecting a person from negative influences to pushing him into rather dubious acts.
The world of minerals is very interesting: the mysterious shungite, pyrite, which medieval alchemists tried in vain to turn into gold, feldspar, at the same time ubiquitous and rather rare. How can one resist and not get carried away by mineralogy?
