The holiday, gaining an unprecedented scope, came to Moscow and plunged it into a magical atmosphere. All art objects were lit up during the day and glowed until the morning, which was very pleasing to guests who had specially arrived at the spectacular Christmas Light.

It was decorated with many squares and streets of the city, transformed during the holiday. The most visited place last year was Manezhnaya Square, on which a 17-meter New Year's ball was installed with a highlighted map of Russia. Even the locals were surprised when they saw Pushkin Square decorated with "fountains" made of paper with figures of animals glowing in the dark. The greatest impression was made by the giant snail, which adults and children wanted to touch.
On the Kuznetsk bridge, a magical forest has sprouted, decorated with small fireflies, winking fun at every passerby. Nikolskaya street turned into an arched gallery. On the huge luminous corridor, the patterns of which are made in Russian motifs, people walked with pleasure, admiring the stunning spectacle. The Christmas Light festival transformed Theater Street, on which a real fairy-tale palace grew, decorated with illumination. And Tsvetnoy Boulevard was struck by the established luminous, dimmed balls, inside of which one could watch the play of the shadow theater.
Tverskaya Square burned with golden garlands, giving it a fantastic look. Tverskaya Boulevard was a real elven forest, painted with blue flickering lights. A large number of light corridors and established fabulous scenery made it popular among admiring tourists, who are constantly taking pictures against the backdrop of shining art objects. In the Kamergersky Lane, lotus petals shone and fiery circles flashed in the sky. All light areas were crowned with installations in the form of the iconic digit “2016”.
