Fire is an amazing natural element. For centuries, people have domesticated it and forced it to benefit humanity. Thanks to him, you can sit at the campfire in the evening and warm yourself in the cold winter. However, despite this, he remained wild and unpredictable. One wrong move - a friend becomes an enemy. Every year, forest fires flare up in different parts of our planet. They differ from each other in scale and destructiveness: some manage only to do a little harm, damage property, others take dozens of lives.

Destructive fires in the Trans-Baikal Territory

According to some reports, the main cause of forest fires is a commonplace human factor. Even a cigarette butt, accidentally thrown to the ground, can lead to disastrous consequences. But the main problem is the uncontrolled burning of dried vegetation, as a result of which the fire easily spreads to vast forest lands. This applies not only to the conscious weeding of dry grass, but also to any other sources of open fire. In the Trans-Baikal Territory, elements raged last summer. 1619 hectares burned.

Possible causes of fire

Who is responsible for all forest fires in the Trans-Baikal Territory, investigators are now finding out. When will it become known that in reality this is mere negligence or malice?

The fact that there was a man’s hand is indicated by a rather eloquent fact. Fires in the Trans-Baikal Territory have a rather strange nature - fires occur simultaneously in different places. Everything was complicated by the fact that rescuers found a teenager in the forest who was trying to light a “fire” with a gas canister. The exact number of perpetrators is unknown, but there are suspicions that a sabotage group was operating.

If we assume the probability that this destructive fire appeared in a natural way, then most likely it would have only one hearth. For example, this could happen as a result of a lightning strike, but since the sources of ignition are completely different, it is obvious that it was arson. A spokesman for the head of state added: the situation was complicated by weather conditions favorable for sunbathing - dryness, strong winds and high temperatures.

Rescue actions

To extinguish the fires in the Trans-Baikal Territory, authorities attracted more than two hundred firefighters and about fifty pieces of equipment, including two aircraft. An EMERCOM helicopter was promptly sent to help rescuers. According to recent reports, stringent security measures have been taken and an emergency regime has been declared.

This implies a complete ban on visiting forests and their surrounding territories. The authorities appealed to the residents of the region and summer residents with a convincing request not to make fire on open land. Fortunately, firefighters managed to eliminate more than fifteen separate sunbeds on an area of less than two thousand hectares.

The extent of the fire

According to unofficial data, foci of fire quickly spread to many areas. There were many fires in the Trans-Baikal Territory in sixteen locations. Shilkinsky, Aginsky, Chitsky, Akshinsky, Chernyshevsky, Boleysky, Khiloksky, Karymsky, Mogoytuysky, Krasnochikoysky, Kirinsky, Nerchinsky, Mogoytuysky, Olovyanninsky, Ononsky, Petrovsk-Zabaykalsky and Uletovsky districts were affected. The largest number of forest fires was recorded in Chita - twenty-eight major fires. As you know, at the initial level, it was possible to prevent the ignition of many other outbreaks.
