Who before the era of mobile phones did not indulge in simply dialing the first number from the phone book and did not ask for any stupidity? All adults, in fact, were once prankers. However, modern masters of this matter can out of the blue excite a person literally in a few minutes. "Why is this done?" - a logical question arises. Most often for fun. Sometimes prankers can simply take revenge on a certain person or “get” someone they don’t like. It is worth mentioning that there are professional prankers for whom this is not only entertainment, but also a method of earning.

So, the birthplace of this term is considered America. However, despite this, the Russians also respect and love this type of rally. In addition, Russian prank has quite deep roots. The first pranksters were officers of the Soviet Army who called the office of Dr. Goebbels (Reich Minister of Propaganda), asking him some immodest questions and promising to pull him up on the gallows. - "Conference". In this case, several victims are connected to the rally.
- "Attacks on the radio." One of the most modern pranks, it’s even more likely a kind of radio flash mob. Previously, forums create tops with similar information. The development of the plot is unpredictable, everything is used: from the outburst of anger on radio hosts to subtle trolling (workshop mockery, to some extent - satire).
- SMS prank. It is not widespread, because it is most often “conducted” to this type of rally, that is, only uneducated, angry youth reacts.
Star prank
One of the subspecies of telephone pranks is prank with stars. It is worth mentioning that specialists of this type of activity often engage in such work. The essence of hooliganism: often it’s technopunk (phrases of a famous person’s phrases) that scroll to another “star” of show business with the aim of playing it, offending, annoying, etc.
About the process
It is worth saying that the victims of prank are people who most often do not have a sense of humor. If a person doesn’t “lead” to the rally, answers with humor, sharpens the answer, the pranker often just loses interest, and the rally ends there. However, if the “patient” turns out to be better than the one who started hooliganism, the pranker can switch from a light version to a cruel rally, just to stay in the cold.

It is also worthwhile to understand whether telephone pranks can be punished for their activities? So, there is no one answer. It all depends on various little things.
- Thanks to modern means, it is possible to track the number from which they called. However, often the police simply refuse to engage in such nonsense, citing more important matters.
- If it was a light rally, that is, the conversation was rather polite, and in principle there was nobody to hold accountable.
- In cases of hard prank (insults, threats), the person who committed hooliganism can be held accountable.
