The Pronya River, which is 336 km long, is located in the Ryazan Region. It is one of the best ponds for fishing, especially at the bottom. It feeds mainly on melt snow, as it is covered with snow crust for almost six months. Prony is also supplied with groundwater. And in April flood begins.

The Pronya River originates in the Ryazan Region. This place is located in close proximity to the Tula region. Its channel is narrow, winding. The bottom closer to the coastline is sandy, and at a silty depth, stones are also found here and there. About 90 streams flow into it. Its main tributaries are p. Ranova, Luchka, Itya and others. In addition to fishing, products from the forest industry are transported along the Prona from the lower to the mouth.
Features
The Pronya River has areas in which the depth can reach 10 m, but the average is 6-7 m. The water in it is clean and the current is not fast, therefore fishing is one of the best in the country. It is worth noting that Pronia is a tributary of the Oka River, which is famous for its rich underwater world. Naturally, some species swim from the main artery. Here you can meet a variety of fish, even carnivores, as the living and breeding conditions in it are most optimal.
Fishing
Most often, zander, bream, ruffs, roach, carp are caught in the network of anglers. That is why the Mikhailovsky district is so popular. In addition to the above, both crayfish and mussels live in the river. It is worth noting that not only local lovers, but also visitors from the capital, fish in Prona, because this river is located only four hours away by car from Moscow. You can get to any coast. In principle, throughout the channel, the fish is perfectly hooked. But, as noted, the best is in the middle and lower reaches. You can fish while on the shore, as well as from the boat. Moreover, in these places the coast is gentle. Steep and high banks only in the upper part. Mostly there are no forests, but reeds and shrubs grow. Both banks of the Prony River consist of a cluster of hills that smoothly flow into one another. If you stand on one of them, you can enjoy the picturesque landscapes of expanse from all sides. And in one of the villages located near Prony, the fishermen organized their own society, which contains about 60 boats.
Fishing spots
Usually fishing on the Pronya River is carried out near Uhorsky settlements. The road there is unpaved, and if, without rushing, go through many steep places and deep whirlpools, then you can fish and get a good catch (mainly predatory fish). There is a good place for fishing in the village of Kolentsi, the road to which leads along the field. The fish is perfectly caught in the whirlpools of these zones. In the past there was a mill, and now a dam remained from it, under which fish swam in schools. It can be caught both on inanimate bait, and on live bait.
Downstream the Prony (Mikhailovsky District) for many kilometers there are excellent places for fishing (even in whirlpools). Here predatory fish, less often crucian carp and roach, are easily caught on a hook. Also from Oka catfish and carp are sailing here. The depth of these sections is small - mostly about three meters. In these areas there are bases for fishing and hunting, which provide boats and all the necessary equipment.
Place to relax
In addition to the demand among fishermen, the Pronya River is also popular with tourists. After all, it is here that there are excellent places to relax. Many residents of the capital and other big cities often want to find a corner to enjoy the splendor of the majestic Russian nature, at least for a few days, sit in silence, listen to the birds singing, just breathe in the fresh, untagged air, meet the dawn. It is amazing that such places are very close to Moscow. Between May and October, the shores of Prony are ideal sites for such a holiday. And, despite the fact that the water in the river is cold due to springs, vacationers prefer to swim in it, because it is really very clean. Entering a depth of more than one meter, you can see not only the bottom, but also swimming fish.
Also, the Pronya River in the Ryazan Region is also interesting for lovers of cultural recreation, as there are many historical and archeological monuments in its valley. For example, on the right side, in Izheslavl, is a historical monument of the VI-VIII centuries. There are also three reserves - Central Black Earth, "Galichya Gora" and Belogorye.
