Princess Anna Abamelek-Baratynskaya (1814-1889, St. Petersburg). The princess was married to the brother of the poet Eugene Baratynsky, Irakli Abramovich Baratynsky. Being the maid of honor of the Empress, Anna Abamelek-Baratynskaya composed poems and was engaged in translations.
Thanks to her, the works of Pushkin, Lermontov, Nekrasov, Tyutchev, the works of Tolstoy, Tumansky, Apukhin were translated into English and French. And from English and German to Russian, she translated Goethe, Byron and Heine. Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin was personally acquainted with the princess and could not pass by such beauty. During her short life, she managed to breed several varieties of orchids. Flora Zabel Mangasardyan
Flora Zabel Mangasardyan (1880-1968) became the first Broadway actress of Armenian descent.
Together with her husband, a famous comedian of the United States, Flora was one of the first to star in a silent comedy. A few words about the sisters Karina and Ruzanna Lisitsian
They were born in Moscow in the family of the legendary baritone Pavel Lisitsian. Karina was born in 1938, and Ruzanne was born in 1945. Despite the great age difference, they are together all the time. Together they graduated from the Central Music School, with Karina in piano and Ruzanna in flute. But the desire to sing was stronger and the girls decided to continue their studies in the vocal class, enrolling at Gnesinsky University. Their teacher was Nina Delitsieva.
For some time, Karina Lisitsian sang with the orchestra of composer Andrei Volkonsky "Madrigal". Then Ruzanna Pavlovna entered, and after the collapse of the orchestra, the sisters Lisitsian (who are included in the rating of the most beautiful Armenian women) began to sing a duet and solo and gained popularity in the USSR. The sisters' repertoire included works by Brahms, Rachmaninov, Handel, Schumann, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, Dargomyzhsky and other authors. First Announcer of Armenian Television
In 2016, Armenian television turned 60 years old. This is an occasion to tell not only about the most beautiful Armenian women, photos of which are posted in this article, but also about the first national television announcer Nara Shlepchyan. The opening of Armenian television was timed to the holiday of the establishment of Soviet Armenia - November 26. It was 1956 in the yard, but, as it happens almost always, a few days before the opening of the television, it turned out that there was no announcer (at that time they notified the program guide for the day) and we had to cast.
Nara Shlepchyan got to the casting by accident. Then she was still a girl, studied at school and was persuaded by her friend Zhirair Avetisyan (future Armenian director) to run away from school and see how the competition was held. On viewing it was necessary to show good knowledge of Russian and Armenian languages. The beautiful girl was persuaded to sit in front of the camera, which determined her future fate.
Out of purely sporting interest, Nara immediately came up with and read the program guide in Armenian, and Chukovsky's “Moidodyr” in Russian. And that’s all: the fate of the girl was decided. Arriving only ten minutes into the studio, Nara Shlepchyan sat there for fifty years.
The hardest thing was to persuade the girl’s father. For this, a delegation of television people was organized, who came home to Nara and persuaded a strict father for a long time to agree. Finally, deciding that she would be an announcer temporarily, my father agreed.
