As you already understood, tall buildings are not uncommon today. But what is still the highest skyscraper in Russia? What is this building and where is it located? This remains to be seen now. So, here is a list of the tallest buildings in Russia today.
"Constitution Tower"
Let's start from the end. More precisely, from the tenth line of the rating. This is the "Constitution Tower." Its other name is Leader Tower. The skyscraper is located in the northern capital of Russia on Constitution Square. Hence the corresponding name. The construction began in 2009. The finished building was commissioned only in 2013.
The Leader Tower is a 42-story tower with a height of 142 meters. The skyscraper was the first building that surpassed the city dominant in height - the Peter and Paul Cathedral.
Grozny City
The ninth place in the rating “The Highest Skyscrapers of Russia” is occupied by a huge complex located in the center of Grozny on the banks of the Sunzha River. Its name is Grozny City. The total area of the complex covers five hectares of land. And its height reaches 145 meters.
Grozny City consists of seven skyscrapers. This is a five-star hotel, office and shopping centers, as well as residential buildings. The tallest building (the Phoenix Tower) has forty floors, the lowest is eighteen. The complex has a helipad (on the roof of an office tower), two-tier platforms for cars, as well as shopping pavilions, cafes and pools.
In 2014, construction began on the Grozny-City 2 facility. It is planned to erect a 400-meter building. Then it will undoubtedly be the highest skyscraper in Russia.
"Vysotsky"
An elite skyscraper called “Vysotsky” was built in November 2011 in the city of Yekaterinburg. The authors of the project specially timed its opening to the release of the feature film “Vysotsky. Thanks for being alive". At the opening, the main guest was Nikita Vysotsky. His family officially allowed the building to "bear their last name."
The 54-story building reaches a height of 188.3 meters. This is the tallest skyscraper in Russia outside of Moscow. In 2012, an observation deck opened here, from which you can admire the beauties of the city.
If we consider all buildings above 150 meters as skyscrapers, then Vysotsky deserves the title of the highest northern skyscraper in the world.
House on Mosfilmovskaya
Well, the tallest buildings in Russia are undoubtedly Moscow skyscrapers. And in seventh place in the ranking - House on Mosfilmovskaya. This is not just a house, but a whole complex consisting of two towers of various heights. The tower, which is lower, reaches 132 meters, and the one above - 213 meters. They are interconnected by a low section.
The house on Mosfilmovskaya is a residential complex, a Shopping center, an office building, and an underground parking for more than a thousand cars. In 2012, he went around other skyscrapers in Russia and was recognized as "House of the Year."
Imperia tower
Imperia Tower complex is located in the Moscow International Business Center Moscow City. It is divided into two towers - "West" and "Federation". The first building was commissioned in November 2013. It consists of sixty floors, and reaches a height of 242.4 meters. There are residential areas, a hotel and shopping centers, as well as a huge parking lot, car washes and service centers for cars.
The second tower, the Federation complex, is currently under construction. Commissioning is scheduled for the end of 2015. At the end of construction, these skyscrapers will become the tallest buildings in the territory of not only our country, but also Europe. According to the project, the highest point will be 373.3 meters. The complex will host luxury residential and office apartments.
Triumph Palace
In fourth place in the ranking is the Moscow skyscraper "Triumph Palace". Height reaches 264.1 meters. Today it is the tallest building in the category “residential skyscrapers” in Europe.
Triumph Palace is made in the classic Stalinist style, lined with ceramics, granite, marble and travertine. The building is located in an elite area: the main entrance of the skyscraper goes directly to Chapaevsky Park, and around it is a park area.
The last three floors of the Triumph Palace construction are occupied by an elite hotel complex with the same name. It is considered the tallest hotel in Europe. Each hotel room is decorated in the style of one of the cities of the world.
Embankment tower
The three tallest buildings are opened by a complex consisting of three towers located in the Moscow City business center. Three skyscrapers: tower A (85 meters high), B (135.7 meters) and the highest, tower C (268 meters).
The last building was commissioned at the end of 2009. At that time, she walked around all the skyscrapers of Moscow in height. Until the construction of the "City of Capitals" was completed.
"City of Capitals"
The second place in the ranking is occupied by the City of Capitals complex and the Eurasia tower in the foreground. The tower reaches 309 meters in height. Its construction was completed in 2014. "Eurasia" is made in the classical style with modern elements. A small triangular bay window is attached to the main building. All forty-three floors of the tower are occupied by office apartments. In addition, the building has a swimming pool, retail stores, residential areas and parking for a thousand cars.
The complex “City of Capitals” is located in the center of “Moscow City” and consists of two skyscrapers: 76-storey “Moscow” and 69-storey “St. Petersburg”. The towers are interconnected by an 18-story extension, in which there are office centers. The construction of the complex began in 2003, then it was frozen for two years to change the design concept. At the end of 2009, the official opening took place. Until January 1, 2012, the City of Capitals skyscrapers complex was considered the highest in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
