Russia has always been one of the leading developers and manufacturers of weapons in the world. Adequate funding, comprehensive state support, and the promotion of research and development allow the creation of new types of weapons. Modern weapons of Russia often have no analogues in the world, and in many respects surpasses foreign models.
Do not think that the invention and improvement of the legendary "Kalash" is the only achievement of the defense complex of the Russian Federation. Yes, this weapon was and is the best-selling in the world, it took part in the greatest number of wars (in comparison with analogues), is in service in many countries of the world. But Russia can boast not only of them … After all, peace of the motherland is protected not only by machine gunners. Therefore, speaking about the most modern weapons of Russia, it is worth mentioning how the various branches of its troops are armed. So, let us examine in detail what is in the hands of those who protect the borders, the depths of the sea and the peaceful sky above their heads.
Tactical ballistic systems
From the very word "governor" the enemy begins to tremble. And not surprisingly - after all, this strategic missile system is capable of defeating even targets located on the neighboring continent. It is impossible to call it supernova, it was developed and created by Soviet engineers. But its relevance over the years of its existence has not lost. Until now, being the most powerful in the world, worthy rivals of foreign production, he never got it. Overseas Pentagon colleagues call him "Satan" (Satan SS-18 Mod.1, 2, 3). And the Russians prefer the affectionately respectful nickname "Tsar Rocket".
Equally famous were the Iskander and Tochka-U complexes. Such modern weapons of Russia are intended to destroy enemy military facilities, well fortified and located at a considerable distance.
Anti-tank missile systems
To defeat the enemy’s heavy armor, the Sturm-S complex is used, mounted on a powerful tracked tractor. He can shoot 130-mm Sturm and Attack missiles, capable of developing subsonic speed and penetrate almost any armor.
His brother with the harmless name "Chrysanthemum" is capable of destroying not only military boats, aircraft at low altitude, engineering structures, but also tanks, both existing and in prospective development.
MLRS
Multiple launch rocket systems are designed to destroy dispersed enemy manpower, fortifications, fortified firing positions, lightly armored and unarmored vehicles. MLRS "Grad" (122 mm) and "Smerch" (300 mm) are distributed far beyond the borders of Russia.
These installations are in service in the armies of several countries of the world.
Anti-tank guns
Self-propelled gun SPT 2S25, which has the same power as the most modern tanks, hits the target with 125-mm missiles.
The Octopus also has the same caliber - a towed gun designed even for all-round defense.
Self-propelled guns (mortars)
Among the variety of self-propelled mortars developed and manufactured by the Russian Federation, the self-propelled guns were and remain the most dangerous self-propelled guns "Tulip". Already discontinued, this weapon, affectionately called the artillerymen "SAUshka", continues to faithfully serve. A 240-mm artillery mount can use several types of shells, including radio-controlled ones ("Daredevil"). To date, self-propelled guns "Tulip" has no analogues in the world.

The development of technology allows to improve the armament of 20-30 years ago, bringing it to the same level as the world’s latest developments. For example, the D-30 howitzer was put into service in the 60s of the last century, but it does not lag behind its world analogues today. For her, special shells have been developed that can be controlled using a computer.
Mortars 120 and 82 mm shoulder to shoulder serve almost in its original form. Improvements relate only to the ammunition used for them.
Anti-tank grenade launcher
Russian modern weapons include wearable grenade launchers. For RPGs, several types of shells of 105 mm caliber are intended, including thermobaric and rocket. With the help of these weapons, even the latest tanks with cumulative protection can be hit. In addition to great striking power, modern military weapons of Russia should be convenient for a fighter. For example, the "Bur" grenade launcher of the 2014 model weighs only 1.5 kg, and its calculation consists of one person.
Along with grenade launchers, anti-personnel flamethrowers are also used.
