The facility was commissioned in 1986. Construction lasted six years. The project of architects N. Terziev-Tsarukov and Yu. Semashko was successfully implemented with the participation of engineers M. Mushev and E. Morozov. Under the massive structure is an eleven meter concrete foundation.

Design Features
The tower consists of three parts: a tripod, trellised frame and the central trunk. The supports are conical in shape. Each of the inclined bases has a length of 93 meters. Above their convergence begins a circular observation deck. Visitors and staff can reach this level using one of the three high-speed elevators.
The frame base, in addition to ensuring structural rigidity, also plays a decorative role. Massive reinforcement is intertwined according to a special pattern, in which openwork patterns stylized as an oriental style are viewed. The bulk of the electronic broadcast equipment is installed on the frame.
What tasks is the Tashkent TV tower designed to solve? Tashkent and the territories surrounding the city within a radius of more than 100 km with the commissioning of the facility are in the zone of reliable reception of television and radio signals. To ensure smooth operation, the facility is equipped with a complex power supply system in the first category. Inside, there are mandatory automatic fire extinguishing systems, ventilation, refrigeration and sanitary equipment, communication systems.
