Who does not remember the duet of Sonny and Cher, their shows, joint projects? The couple’s daughter was born on March 4, 1969 in California. If you believe in karma and signs of fate, then it all started with the fact that at birth the girl received the name Chestiti San Bono. So parents decided after Sonny’s movie entitled “Honesty, ” in which Cher played a bisexual with that name. Perhaps the image of Cher was magically extrapolated for the whole life of her daughter?

Bono tried to “get lost” in music by creating the band Ceremony in 1993. In this field, her parents helped her - Cher and Sonny, and in the same 1993 the band released their first and only album called Hang Out Your Poetry. Vocalist Bono also played drums and acoustic guitar. Songs for her were written by the famous father. The music quickly bothered the girl.
Bono's career began in April 1995 when The Advocate, a minority magazine, interviewed her, in which Chestiti admitted to being homosexual. Bono later began writing for this edition.
In a 1998 book entitled Family Outing, Chestity spoke in detail not only about her cuming out. The girl talks about the suffering about the loss of her beloved Jennifer Elias, who died of blood cancer in the early 2000s, shares with the reader her difficult decision about gender reassignment. In the book, she also stated that her life had entered the mainstream of politics, and this opened up before her the possibility of being a lesbian, woman, and personality. In the same book, Bono noted her mother Cher. According to Chestiti, her mother took a long time to understand and make her daughter’s decision, and reconciled to this, appeared on the cover of The Advocate, proudly acknowledging the fact that she is a lesbian mother and starting to fight for the rights of sexual minorities.

Cesa Salvatore Bono was supported, in particular, by the famous Caitlin Jenner (a member of the Kardashian star family), who also survived a sex change operation (she was born a man named Bruce).
Weight gain has been a side effect of hormone replacement therapy, which Chaz will surely win.
Politics and Sonny
Bono never remained indifferent to the life of the country. He fought for human rights, for the freedom of relations between the sexes, supported events related to cuming-out. In addition, he vehemently challenged the law on the protection of marriage, worked for GLAAD (the Alliance of Gays and Lesbians Against Defamation).
Starting as a politician, he gradually spoiled relations with Sonny's father, especially after the election of Chez Bono (then Chestiti) as a congressman of the California Republican Party. Bono supported the campaign for Clinton’s re-election as head of state. Political differences alienated the father and the child, they did not communicate during the year, and in January 1998 Sonny died while skiing.
