Alexander Pankratov-Cherny has long been considered a popular and famous actor in Russian cinema. From childhood, he dreamed about the profession of director and through trials and thorns he achieved what he wanted. Vladimir Monakhov flatly refused to communicate with his daughter's chosen one and changed his anger to mercy only after the birth of his grandson Vladimir, named in his honor, in 1980. In turn, Pankratov-Cherny was deeply offended by suspicions of commercialism and therefore did not want to register an official marriage with Monakhova. In general, he was distinguished by a difficult character: vulnerable, quick-tempered, not always fair. The artist often remained without work and even thought to leave the profession of actor and director. He rushed about, scandalized, looked for his place in life, shouted and slammed the door … But Julia supported and understood him, met him again and again on the threshold with a friendly smile.
Sometimes Alexander was fond of other women and left "forever." He married several times and got divorced, but, according to the artist, only she was present in his life - Julia. Her amazing ability to forgive surprised … and again attracted. It seemed to Pankratov that nothing could happen in life that she could not forgive him.
