Biography

Vladimir Kristovsky was born in 1975, on December 19, in Nizhny Novgorod. His love of music arose thanks to his father, who in early childhood noticed his son's good voice and artistry. In addition, Vladimir grew up alongside his older brother Sergey. In turn, he had a musical group, the success of which became Kristovsky Jr. an example to follow.

Vladimir admits that the school was the most boring place for him. Instead of studying, he preferred to compose poems and melodies to them. At first, Sergei gladly helped his brother in his creative endeavors, because it seemed to Vladimir that his work was ridiculous. Having received the long-awaited secondary education, the guy went to study as an electrician. Then the young artist decided to master hairdressing.

During a certain period, Vladimir Kristovsky tried many professions: from a night guard in a morgue and an agent selling lemonade and chocolate to a driver in the Ministry of Finance and courier. In these positions, he realized that music was his true calling.

Carier start

Vladimir’s creative career was marked by the creation of the Top View group, whose members played punk rock music. Led by Kristovsky in 1998, the musicians recorded several compositions, sent them out to various labels, but were refused everywhere. Then they composed three new songs, thanks to which the group won the competition for the Living Sound newspaper. Soon, "Top View" ceased to exist.

The next step of Vladimir Kristovsky, the photo with which you see above, was his arrival in Moscow. Here, Nizhny Novgorod planned to sell his previously written compositions, but this did not happen, since guitar songs were not popular in show business. Upon returning home, Kristovsky was hired by the Cannon club, where he sang and played the guitar. Later he was asked to write the anthem of one of the restaurants. For his work, the musician received 300 dollars.

History of Uma2rman

A rock band, beloved by many listeners, appeared in 2003. Its founders were the Kristovsky brothers. The first performance of Uma2rman took place in the metropolitan club “16 tons” as part of the Zemfira concert and fell on Vladimir’s birthday. The following year, the group shot three video clips for the songs "Say Goodbye", "Praskovya" and "Uma Thurman", and also released their debut album, entitled "In the City of N".

Collaboration with the director T. Bekmambetov, who instructed the musicians to write the soundtrack for the film “Night Watch, ” brought the team dizzying success, because the song of the same name for a long time did not leave the top lines of the charts. Soon Kristovsky Vladimir will be the author of songs for the comedy “Oh, Lucky!”, The series “Daddy's Daughters” and “Prince of Siberia”.

Today Uma2rman is one of the most successful groups in Russia. During concerts, along with the Kristovsky brothers, keyboard player A. Kaplun, drummer S. Solodkin, saxophonist A. Abramov and guitarist Y. Terletsky perform on stage.
