With the question of when the Universe was finally created, of course, it would be best to turn to its Creator. But He, describing the process of creation in the Bible book "Genesis", kept silent about how old it was, giving newborn humanity the opportunity to puzzle over it. Since then, a person, as far as he remembers himself, reflects on this issue as much. Starting with King David, who exclaimed once: "Heaven is preaching the glory of God!" - and ending
modern scientific achievements in the field of space exploration. That is at least three thousand years old. At the same time, inventing more and more new methods that allow to clarify the age of the Universe by all means available for the era.
In general, we must not forget that the Cosmos is not only physical or material space. Thinking about how old the Universe is, and, therefore, about the causes and consequences of the emergence of life, one cannot help but think about where and why life began. And therefore, the Universe is also a deeply philosophical concept. Hence the debate about its beginning. Today, many scientists agree that the so-called Big Bang laid the foundation for everything - the cosmological model generally accepted in modern science to describe the transition of the universe from a singular (infinitely dense and very hot) state to its ongoing and still expanding one. As a result of this expansion, the Cosmos is becoming larger and cooler. These observations formed the basis of the so-called Hubble law (named after an American scientist), which, as is believed, allows us to calculate the age of the Universe with the greatest accuracy.
In May 2009, the Planck space probe was launched, the task of which was to probe world space for the purpose of detecting and studying the so-called relict radiation - the same radiation that arose as a result of the Big Bang and reached us, freely spreading in space. Due to this, the expected sensation occurred in March this year: the age of the Universe was once again slightly corrected - by about 80 million years in the direction of its aging.

Thanks to this space observatory, located today at a distance of more than 1.5 million kilometers from the Earth, refined relict radiation maps have already been compiled and are being compiled, allowing to explain much of the hitherto inexplicable. Thanks to these maps, for example, scientists have discovered a zone of clots of cold gas, which is supposed to be the cradle of future stars. Also, according to these calculations, the approximate age of the Universe is 13.7 ± 0.13 billion years. And in the center of the Universe, astrophysicists have found a zone with so far inexplicable radiation. There is an assumption that a further study of this phenomenon will reveal the secret of dark matter, which, as is now believed, forms the basis of the Universe.
