Kirov is one of the cities of the Russian Federation, the center of the Kirov region. It has the status of an urban district. Kirov is located at a distance of almost 900 km northeast of Moscow. Zarechny park of Kirov
This is a territory with natural landscapes, landscaped for recreation. Previously, a river grove was located on the site of the park. The creation of the park was carried out in the period 1935-1937, after which it was opened to visitors. At the same time, construction and landscaping continued for several more years.
The Kirov Zarechny Park has become one of the favorite vacation spots of citizens. Not far from it was a beach. Nearby was even a restaurant "Forest Tale". There were also attractions, a summer theater, a boat center.
But in the 80s of the 20th century, this place lost its former popularity. Bus routes to the park were canceled. And the Vyatka River began to flood and cause flooding of the recreational zone. And how to get to the Zarechny Park of Kirov now? Only on personal vehicles.
The construction of a wooden bridge, over which it was possible to get into the recreation area, also ceased.
Park history
The history of Zarechny Park dates back several centuries. This area has been used by man since 1703, when, by decree of Peter I, the pine forest, which was then called the right-bank pine, was assigned to the Khlynovsky Posad. It was to be used as a source of reserve building timber. At the beginning of the 20th century, the territory of the park is given protection status. The name "Zarechny Park" appeared in 1934. Then he received the status of a city park of culture and rest.
In 1962, Zarechny Park received the status of a natural monument. At the end of 2015, the territory was assigned the regime of specially protected natural objects and the borders were specified. Now, in case of violation of environmental legislation that you have noticed, you should report it to the regional Ministry of Environmental Protection.
In 1989, an ecological trail was laid. It passes through a unique floodplain forest with different types of pine trees. The age of trees here often ranges from 150 to 200 years, which gives them historical value.
Nature of Zarechny park
The park is located on a plain with woody, shrubby and grassy vegetation. There are water surfaces and dirt roads. Different stands: pine, birch, less often from other hardwoods. An important red book species that grows here is iris.
The fauna of Zarechny park in Kirov is quite diverse. There are martens, ermines, beavers.
The area of the park is 230 hectares.
Rest in Zarechny park
You can relax in the park even now, although on a smaller scale than it was under the Soviet Union. Here you can ride a bike, go on foot, go fishing, have a picnic. You can stay on the lake or on the river Vyatka. There is a pond where you can even ride a boat, but only in the summer. Garbage, of course, is prohibited!
In the pine forest there is a "Reserve of fairy tales", where there is a beautiful lake, animated objects. In the future they plan to ennoble this territory, as well as create a cable car.
