Fridays for the future
Greta Tunberg encourages students to skip classes on Fridays to join environmental protests. The movement created by it spread outside Sweden to other European countries and around the world. In Russia, participation in it is hindered by the federal law “On meetings, rallies, demonstrations, marches and pickets”.
A young girl inspires such actions everywhere. Her trademarked movement is called Fridays for Future.
At rallies in the spring and fall of 2019, several million students from more than a hundred countries gathered.
