Bogdanov’s film debut took place in 1974, when Asanova made her first film based on the script by Y. Klepikov. The eminent author of Dauria and Asi Klyachkina did not immediately decide to collaborate with a novice director and at first did not agree with her concept of turning an easy, almost comedy film into a lyrical one. But subsequently, it was this seriousness and deep penetration into the world of adolescents that made the film so beloved by the audience. At the time of filming, Alexander Bogdanov, an unprofessional actor, was a sixteen-year-old boy, and he was to play a seventh grader. But in this role he looks very organic. A year later, the director I. Sheshukov undertook to make a film about a former military man who decided to continue his career as an ordinary turner at the factory (N. Grinko). After the film “The Woodpecker Doesn't Hurt”, the invitation of Bogdanov to the role of Genka Formanyuk, one of the members of the youth replenishment of the plant, seems absolutely natural.
