Nigeria is Africa's Most Populated State

According to the results of 2013, the population of this country is 174 million people. In addition, it is a multi-ethnic state, and more than 250 ethnic groups and nationalities live here next to each other. I would like to say that it is peaceful and in a friendly atmosphere, but this is by no means true. Every year, many people die there who become victims of interethnic conflicts. The largest ethnic groups are Hausa-Fulani (30%), Yoruba (20%), Igbo (19%) and others. As you can see, there are no Bad people among them, since for Nigeria, which is one of the most densely populated countries in the world, the number of 650 thousand is like a drop in the ocean.

Is Bade a people or an ethnic group?

By the way, the name of this people is pronounced differently: trouble, bode, etc. Its representatives are very proud of their roots, language, their culture, traditions and customs, and try to abide by them. Despite its small numbers, bade is a people. Its representatives live near the city of Nafada, as well as along the Gongola River. Their villages are compact and consist of adobe houses with flat roofs. The language they speak is also called bad. This is a tonal language. Here, each symbol has a tone corresponding to it: low, lower, high and upward. There are also dialects: southern, eastern and western. Recently, due to assimilation among the people, the Hausa language has leaked.

Core activities

Bade is mainly farmers. They are engaged in the cultivation of various crops: corn, millet, cotton, peanuts, etc. However, among them you can also find weavers, tanners, blacksmiths and fishermen. They feed on dairy products, poultry, fish, and also vegetable crops.

History

The first mention of this people is found in the 14th century. Legend has it that these people once lived in the city of Kanem, but left this place and moved to the shores of Gongola, where they still live. Like many peoples of Africa, bade have their own cults, but today their bulk belongs to the Muslim faith.
