One of the residents of Foggy Albion seriously thought about where he and his wife should go on a long-awaited vacation. The most desirable for him seemed to be a trip to exotic countries, to warm lands, mysterious jungle. Only how to carry out the plan, if work and pet do not allow to escape to distant lands? The Englishman found a way out and turned the old garden into a tropical paradise for his wife.

Family travel

Chris Lodge and his wife live in Wollaston, Northamptonshire. The strong and muscular 44-year-old head of the family looks like Aquaman. He complained for a long time that he and his wife were so busy working and taking care of their dog that they could not go abroad for many years.

Chris himself is a construction worker, his wife - 45-year-old Sharon Lodge - is the owner of the business, and the 9-year-old favorite Dyce is not an ordinary pet, but a disabled dog. The business of the couple suddenly went uphill, and the dog did not want to trust other people due to repeated small seizures.

Because for exactly six years they did not go anywhere on vacation. Finally, in the summer of 2017, Chris decided to rectify the situation. He spent 35 thousand pounds to give the household an unusual holiday. A man created a tropical wonderland in his garden, although he had never been gardening before.

Curious project

For two years, Chris spent all his free evenings and legal weekends in the garden. He proved that a gigantic landscape project is on the shoulder for anyone, even a completely inexperienced one.

First, the Lodge dug up the lawn, landscaped the area with a beautiful forest, added snags. Then a unique rope bridge was added to the idea. He ran through the entire garden, surrounded by lush green palm trees and succulents. The bridge leads to the hut, which Chris and Sharon call their "Bizarre Tiki."

Inside, the owner built a wooden bar, placed magnificent chairs with wood engraving in it, and decorated the space with spectacular tropical trinkets. Chris says that all this cost him considerable effort, but he does not regret the money spent or the hours of hard work.
