Station history

Construction of the line in the area was planned starting in 1973. At first, the station was supposed to be built near the Peredelkino platform, but in 1985 it was decided to place it at the intersection of Sholokhov Street and Borovsky Highway.

In the 21st century, construction projects have repeatedly changed. At first, in the area of Novo-Peredelkino, it was planned to lay a line of the so-called “light metro”. Then there was the idea to continue the Sokolniki line. However, she was quickly abandoned.

The project for the construction of the modern Novoperedelkino station acquired more or less clear outlines in February 2013, when Sergei Sobyanin insisted on building this facility by September 2017.

Preparatory work began in November 2013 and ended in March 2014. In 2014, excavation was carried out, including digging a pit. From May 8, 2015 to February 2017, the construction of the main structures, digging of the tunnel was carried out. From February to July 2017, rails were laid.

Since July 2017, the station was being finished, and by November 2017 the Novoperedelkino station was ready for 4/5. After that, the premises were finished, the pavilions were glazed, and engineering equipment was installed.

In August 2018, the experimental structure was launched at the station. On the 25th of the same month it is connected to an already functioning section of the Solntsevskaya line.

The opening of the metro in Novoperedelkino took place on August 30, 2018. After this event, the Moscow Metro began to include 222 stations. Thus, the metro in Novoperedelkino, the opening date of which took place on 08/30/2018, is the latest among all the others.

Decor

The decoration of the Novoperedelkino station is rather modest and is made in the style of minimalism. There are no luxurious chandeliers and patterns characteristic of such objects built in Soviet times. The reason for the lack of luxury is in the budget. It was decided to spend on design no more than 5% of the total project budget. Another requirement was the use of only domestic materials. On the occasion of registration, a competition was organized. The cost of work amounted to only 3.5 million rubles. So much is an ordinary residential apartment.

However, there are still some elements of artistic performance. So, on the lamps you can see grass ornaments. Light granite and dark magnesite were used to finish the platform. The walls of the station, stairs, passages and vestibules were lined with aluminum composite.

Soft LED ambient light can change color. The prevailing type of lighting is bronze.

The ground lobby of the station is a modern glazed rectangular structure with patterns. It is well lit from the inside.
