The role of Vasya Petrov

Director Vladimir Alenikov immediately noticed two friends, asked them to read the roles, and then invited them for auditions. Filming became the most interesting adventure in the boy’s life. The guys were shot 12-14 hours a day. Such a load, even for professional actors, is rather complicated, but future stars perfectly withstood the busy schedule. Barkov recalls that he really wanted to perform a song in the film with Yegor, but, unfortunately, he could not sing.
After a film with the participation of Barkov and Druzhinin appeared on Soviet screens, both teenagers woke up incredibly popular, and many viewers admitted that Vasya Petrov’s phrases “Yes, undoubtedly” and “Yes, definitely” from the song were remembered by him even more than the others the words that Vasechkin performed. The main characters were literally not given a passage and sent bags of letters. Unfortunately, behind the triumph in the cinema, the realization came that the growing actor is not so interesting to the directors. Barkov traveled a lot to film screenings, but a film library compiled for him by a ten-year-old prevented him from participating in other projects at an older age.
