February 21, 2020 is a normal day for someone. But in the Austrian restaurant Engel Wang Fu in the city of Lustenau this is a whole tragedy. On this day, almost every resident of the city empathized and worried about how the story of a giant bottle of wine would end.
How did the story begin
In 2017, the Engel Wang Fu diner found a second life. It was reopened after reconstruction. In honor of this event, Engel Wang Fu presented the restaurant with a giant bottle of wine. This bottle was considered the largest in the world. A container weighing more than 765 kg without contents could hold 1, 590 liters of heady drink. From the very beginning it was decided that the restaurant administration will sell this masterpiece in a few years, and the money will go to charity.
How was the container stored?
In order for the wine in the bottle to be stored and ripened properly, it was placed in a glass flask with climate control. This exhibit took pride of place in the center of the dining room of the restaurant. Almost all local residents, tourists and visitors knew about the bottle. Many specially came to take pictures with the "heady giant."
