Dmitry Fedorovich Gordey is a Soviet and Ukrainian professional ex-football player who played as a midfielder (sometimes as a striker) in various Soviet and Ukrainian clubs from 1979 to 1999. After the career of a football player, he was engaged in coaching. Dmitry has a son Andrei, also a football player, currently playing for the Ukrainian club Kolos Gorodenkovschiny.

Dmitry Gordey was born on September 24, 1960 in the city of Borovtsy (Chernivtsi region, Ukrainian SSR). Dmitry grew up and was brought up in a sports family. Football became his favorite game for him at the age of 4. The boy often visited local football matches with his father and dreamed of someday being on the field as a player. After a couple of years, he began to attend the football section.
A professional football career began in the Poltava club Kolos, which played in the second division of the Soviet Union. Here Dmitry spent three seasons, playing about 60 matches, in which he scored 12 goals.
In the 1982 season, Dmitry Gordey played for the SKA Kiev club in the First League of the Soviet Union. As part of the Kiev team, Dmitry spent 16 matches and scored the only goal. At the end of the season, SKA Kiev took the penultimate place in the standings and was transferred to the lower division. The circumstances were such that Dmitry Gordey left the club and joined the semi-professional team Zvezda (the city of Lubny). Unfortunately, the statistics of meetings in the amateur football league is unknown.
In the period from 1984 to 1986, Dmitry played for Bukovina. As part of the "yellow-black" Gordey was the main and even key player in the club. For two seasons in the second league of the Soviet Union he played in 69 matches and became the author of 14 goals. After leaving Bukovina, the midfielder became a player in the Crystal Chortkov amateur club, in which he spent only one season. In 1989, Gordey returned to the club and spent another season.
From 1987 to 1988 he was a player in the Niva Ternopol club, in which he became the silver medalist of the Second Division of the USSR. At the same time, the midfielder was not a player of the basic structure.

Between 1991 and 1993 Dmitry replaced many football clubs in which he could not gain a foothold in the first team. During this period, Gordey managed to wear t-shirts for clubs such as Galicia Drohobych, Lada Chernivtsi (amateur club), Dniester Zalishchyky (Ukraine) and Nistru Otach (Moldova).
The last years of his football career
In 1994, a Ukrainian footballer began playing for the Moldavian club Viliya from the city of Briceni (currently the club has the name Progresul). As part of the club, Dmitry Gordey held 13 football matches and was able to become the author of four goals. Despite the relatively successful game of the Ukrainian, the leadership of “Viliya” did not extend the contract with the midfielder. Gordey returned to Ukraine, where he again signed a contract with Bukovina. At the beginning of the 1994/95 season, Dmitry was leased to Lada, which began to play on a professional level.
In the period from 1995 to 1999, Dmitry Gordey played at an amateur level - first in the club "Furnituremaker Chernivtsi", and then in the "University of Chernivtsi".
