Edmund Irvine, known worldwide as Eddie Irvine, was born on November 10, 1965. Ireland is its homeland, or rather, its northern part, where the city of Konlig is located. Currently, the British race car driver lives in the Irish city of Dublin.
Back in his childhood, Eddie Irvine became interested in car racing, and James Hunt was always his idol, whom he would later meet in person.
Racing career
Eddie Irvine began his career in automobile racing early. So, at the age of eighteen, he began to gradually participate in body races, which were held in his city.
And only then, starting in 1988, he becomes a participant in Formula 3 car racing, and only then, since 1989, Eddie Irvine accepts the invitation and becomes a member of the Jordan team. This allows him to participate in the "Formula 3000". Together with the team, he was able to take an honorable third place in this championship.

In 1993, Eddie Irvine already participated in the "Formula 1". This World Cup was held in Japan, and for the young race car driver then he was the first. But then Ayrton Senna, who at that time was in the lead, managed to overtake him in a whole circle. And after that he continued to fight against that enemy, who was walking slowly, without increasing speed. The second scandal occurred with Eddie Irvine, whose career was developing successfully, at the Grand Prix, which took place in Brazil. In 1994, he became not only a participant, but also the culprits of the fact that an accident occurred in which three racing cars fell at once. For such a violation, he was banned from participating in one race.
Jordan's team of which he was a party attempted to file a protest. But for the fact that they decided to challenge the fair decision, the punishment of the young rider increased, and he was disqualified for participating in three races.
A new scandal occurred in 1996, when the Irvine award, which was in third place at the Grand Prix in Australia, posted the flag of Ireland, and the flag of Britain was shown in television credits.
Member of the Ferrari team
In 1996, the Ferrari team completely updated the composition, and Irvine was lucky: he gets into the new composition of this legendary racing team. His partner is the famous racer Michael Schumacher. But the contract stipulated that all the benefits went to Schumacher, and Irvine was just a co-pilot. Under the contract, the young rider had to comply with all the conditions for the victory of his partner: restrain opponents and let him in if necessary.

While still a member of the Ferrari team, participating in the Canadian Grand Prix, a young and successful rider signs a contract with the Jaguar team. But after the first races, Eddie was disappointed that he had signed this three-year contract. The equipment that was provided to him was practically not suitable for racing, so there was not the slightest chance to win them.
Despite such working conditions, Irvine was able to come third, and this was several times. And this result of his was the best for the team for many years of its existence, because the rest of the riders, who also signed a contract with this team, could not even enter the top six.
In 2001, at the Grand Prix races in Belgium, Eddie suddenly ran into Luciano Burti, who was once his partner. The opponent received serious injuries and immediately lost consciousness. Eddie himself led his salvation and even dismantled the rubble. This helped save Burti's life.
In 2002, the contract with this team was terminated, and Eddie decided to return to the Jordan, but they chose the pilot who could also pay for his participation. And Irvine was ready to participate in this team for free.
