Amy Mullins, whose biography can be said to be unique, was born on July 20, 1976 in the USA, in the state of Pennsylvania, in the small town of Allentown. Her parents were Irish. Aimee always liked the sport, and she practiced it from childhood. But for the first time she heard about disability competitions while studying at the university. Amy had never stepped on a treadmill before. But despite this, she still decided to go to one of these competitions.

She was nineteen at the time. She wore dentures made of plastic and wood. The girl trained for several weeks to determine the distance that she can overcome. But after fifty meters, Amy was already starting to choke. Despite this, the girl stubbornly continued training.

At her first running competition, she first saw people with prostheses from other materials and different designs. Nevertheless, Amy Mullins was able to set a new US record in the hundred-meter race and on her “legs”.

Sports career

In 1996, Amy left as part of the national team in Atlanta, the Paralympics. Moreover, she had to act in two directions at once: long jumps and running for a hundred meters. The girl just acquired new prostheses, which she decided to try out in the sprint.

She was able to beat the results of many former champions. As a result, at the Paralympic Games, she set three records: long jump (in this direction, Amy became the first participant with amputated lower extremities who competed with healthy athletes), running a hundred and two hundred meters.

In the ninety-seventh year, Amy Mullins became a nominee for the “Presidential Council of Physical Fitness” Senator Cleland. In 1998, she became the finalist of ARETE (achieving the highest human potential) on ESPN. Amy received the title of Athlete of the Year among women with disabilities.

Amy Mullins is an amazing woman. Despite her flaw, she did not limit herself to sports and decided to try herself in the modeling business. Moreover, she also achieved great successes in this field.

Her modeling career began with one fashion magazine, for the cover of which she was asked to appear.
