Viewers well know Elena Gushchina as a bright and groovy Lelia from the Soyuz Kaveen team, but not everyone knows about the girl’s numerous prizes and awards in the music field. She is a repeated winner of the Student Spring contest, a triumph of the International Diamonds of Russia 2010 creative contest, and a participant in the Wind of Victory project.
The first steps
The most attractive side of the KVN Soyuz team was Elena Gushchina, born in Ufa in Bashkortostan in 1984. Since 1990, she lives in Nizhnevartovsk, positioning herself a real Siberian. The girl’s parents were professional musicians, so it is not surprising that from childhood, Elena was intensively engaged in singing and playing the piano.
According to her, she sincerely dreamed of becoming a famous pianist, but the lively energetic girl simply did not have the patience in her childhood to learn endless sketches for hours. So the biography of Elena Gushchina began to unfold in a different scenario, with which saddened parents had to come to terms.
After graduating from music school, Lena began to play sports, intensively study the humanities in order to successfully pass exams at the university. She succeeded brilliantly, and the failed pianist becomes a law student.
Cheerful and resourceful
The biography of Elena Gushchina could well have turned out differently if a group of ambitious, talented children from her university did not decide to organize her own KVN team. The rules of performances in KVN are quite strict in relation to the use of a phonogram, so a singing musical girl becomes a real find for any collective. The fate of Elena was a foregone conclusion, and she becomes a member of the Club of cheerful and resourceful.
At first, the girl played for the team of her native university in the city league, but the bright musical girl was too good for the team of Nizhnevartovsk. Soon she was invited to the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra team, whose captain was Andrei Romanov. In this KVN team, Elena Gushchina breaks out of her region and takes part in the Euroleague and Northern League games.
In those years, the girl’s sphere of interest was not limited to KVN; in parallel, Elena became the soloist of the Monitor studio.
"Union"
For several years, Elena Gushchina and other future members of the Soyuz team performed with varying degrees success in various KVN teams, occasionally appearing on large screens. However, at some point, some kind of bright head came up with the idea of creating a kind of team of the most prominent and professional participants in regional groups.
So the new team of the Club of cheerful and resourceful - “Union”, representing the entire Tyumen region. Elena Gushchina came to the collective of one of the latter, becoming the female face of the Union and responsible for the musical part of the programs.
For several years, the Tyumen team has become one of the strongest and most recognizable KVN teams. For several years in a row, representatives of Siberia reached the decisive stages of the Premier League draw, having won the reputation of a strong and stable team.
The visiting card of the team was the musical numbers that the members of the trio Aidar Garayev - Artem Muratov - Elena Gushchina masterfully played. In this regard, the members of the “Union” utterly surpassed all competitors who did not even try to argue with Tyumen for the title of the singing team itself.
A long trip to the heights of KVN for Elena and her comrades in the Union ended only in 2014, when in their final season they still managed to become champions of the Higher League.
