The Pythagoreans mistakenly believed that she was the harmony of the body. Plato, mistaken, claimed that she is a self-propelled number. More true is a different definition. The soul itself does not move, it “pushes” another body. The living entity is not just composed of soul and body. According to the concept of philosophy, the situation is different.
The soul is a force that acts through the body. It remains to deal with the second concept. Based on the foregoing, it can be noted that the body is a natural tool for the soul. These phenomena are inseparable. They can be compared with the eye and vision. Each soul corresponds to a body. It arises thanks to its strength and for its sake. In addition, the body is designed as an instrument that is most suitable for the activities of a certain soul.
Here it is worth recalling Pythagoras. It is for the above reason that the teachings of this philosopher on the transmigration of souls are absurd for Aristotle. He put forward a theory that is opposite to the ideas of ancient natural philosophers. They led the soul out of bodily nature. Aristotle did the opposite. He takes the body out of a separate soul. Therefore, strictly speaking, for him only the animate is really real, real, entelechic. This idea is mentioned in such works as On the Parts of Animals, Metaphysics, and On the Soul.
It should be remembered that only an organic body can be animated. This is a holistic mechanism, all of whose elements have a specific purpose and are designed to perform the assigned functions. This is the principle of unity of the body. For the sake of this, it has arisen, functions and exists. The described law also includes the term "entelechy", which is equivalent to the soul. It cannot be separated from the body. The soul is one by being. An organic living being can be defined as being because it contains a goal in itself.
