These mysterious mushrooms …

Mushrooms are one of the most interesting kingdoms of wildlife. Combine both the characteristics of plants and animals. Incredibly varied in shape and coloring, they live in the most unexpected corners of our planet. Known specimens settled on the seabed.

And again, conspiracy theorists fantasized …

Since ancient times, people have studied the properties of mushrooms. To this day, these amazing organisms are not fully understood. There are two inexplicable but proven facts about mushrooms:

  1. The presence of incredible energy. Science knows mushrooms that can crack the asphalt, absorb radiation and change their shape in a very short period of time.

  2. Influence on the minds of people. In wildlife, there are no other plants that can change the biochemistry of the brain so much. That is, to have a pronounced psychedelic effect.

This implies an interesting hypothesis about the extraterrestrial origin of the organisms in question.

What are mushrooms?

Inhabitants in the forest, growing on trees and even entering into a close symbiosis with humans. We are interested in those specimens that grow in the forest.

Scientists divide forest mushrooms into edible, conditionally edible and poisonous. The edible (and very tasty) gifts of the forest are boletus, Polish mushrooms, boletus, chanterelles, honey mushrooms and oyster mushrooms. In the mushroom season, they are followed by a real hunt!

Conditionally edible mushrooms can also be eaten. Just for starters, they need to be brought to proper condition. That is, in a certain way, soak, evaporate, carry out tricky manipulations, and only then eat it. Black mushrooms belong to this class of mushrooms.

But it’s better not to joke with poisonous mushrooms … Why - read on.

When is it better to simply admire the gift of the forest?

When there is at least the slightest suspicion of the edibility of the fungus.

The most poisonous mushrooms of the Leningrad Region are pale toadstool, satanic mushroom and red fly agaric. And also - all unfamiliar and dubious gifts of the forest. This is the rule of the wise mushroom picker. Even the most experienced specialist will not take an incomprehensible mushroom into his basket.

In the end, I would like to reassure the reader: only poisoning by the well-known pale grebe leads to death. In all other cases, people survive (the consequences depend on how strong the liver and kidneys are). Another thing is that such experiments are obviously meaningless. Next, we will talk about edible and healthy mushrooms of the Leningrad region, the photo is attached.

The mushroom season is truly a wonderful time!

Spring nature is fascinating: insects frolic in the air, streams flow, and the sky in the evenings becomes starry and alluring.

The first mushrooms of the Leningrad region (assorted photos will follow pretty mushrooms) appear in late April. And it is, without doubt, morels. They do not differ in beautiful appearance, but only young mushrooms can compete with them in taste. A map of mushroom places in the Leningrad Region will tell in more detail about their favorite places.

Next is the season for the summer gathering of forest gifts. In June, fresh butter and boletus mushrooms appear. They love to grow in birch groves. Oilfishes almost always live in families: if you find one cute oily mushroom, then you should carefully study the area around. The second decade of June will give white mushrooms to mushroom pickers.

July is another mushroom month. In the forests appear mushrooms, chanterelles and mushrooms. And from the middle of the month, the earth has been decorated with colorful hats of russula. These delicious mushrooms amaze with their rich color palette …

August is traditionally recognized as the most mushroom month. The number of ceps, boletus, russula and chanterelles is increasing. Specifically, August mushrooms and white whites are considered mushrooms. The first appear at the beginning of the month, the second - closer to its end. Poisonous mushrooms of the Leningrad region (fly agaric and pale grebes) also grow actively in the last month of summer. They catch their eyes with their bright red hats with white pimples. Amanita grows in forest lowlands and along roadsides.

In the forests, there are more and more diverse rowings - white whales, jaundices and greenfinches. Also on old stumps and next to the majestic trees you can meet friendly families of honey agarics. The season ends with the onset of the first frosts and a decrease in temperature to 5 degrees with a plus sign.

Spring mushroom ride

The story about the mushroom places in the Leningrad region will start with the habitat of the first spring mushroom - morel. To be more precise - morel conic. This mushroom grows in coniferous and deciduous forests of the Leningrad region, it can be found on the site of clearings, bonfires and burnt forests. Most often, the mushroom grows in the southern part of the region, namely, in the area of the village of Tosno. The map of the mushroom places of the Leningrad region, located further, confirms this. In late April, in addition to a basket of morels, you can still pick up birch sap. This wonderful spring drink restores strength and gives a boost of vigor.

Gourmet treat

We simply do not have the right to disregard any mushroom dish. We will tell you the recipe for a simple but incredibly mouth-watering treat.

So you returned from nature with a basket of boletus, there isn’t much to eat at home, and hunger has been tiring for more than an hour … Right now you can turn a small part of the booty into a satisfying dish that will satisfy hunger by the end of the day … So, the recipe! Essential Ingredients:

  • White mushrooms;

  • salt;

  • bow;

  • butter.

Thoroughly wash pieces of 5-6 young boletus. Dry them with a napkin, cut into medium-sized slices.

Melt the butter in a pan. Finely chop the onion, pour it on the fry. The whole thing is that the onion does not burn out, but forms a viscous substance along with butter. When this metamorphosis has occurred, add chopped mushrooms to the onion. Stew for 10 minutes over medium heat, then salt the dish. Next, simmer over low heat until cooked. Spread on a plate.

If some summer greens was found in the refrigerator, then finely chop it and sprinkle on the dish. Enjoy your meal!
