The quadcopter Syma X5C is one of the most modern, convenient and easy to use quadrocopters, therefore, using its example it is convenient to show the basics of controlling all such mechanisms. The device has a camera that shoots in a resolution of 640x480 pixels; it picks up a signal from the remote control at a distance of up to 150 m. A six-axis gyroscope provides a stable flight to the quadrocopter. This model is also equipped with iridescent in the dark LED backlight. You can charge it directly from the USB port without using any special chargers.

Precautions

Before learning how to control a quadrocopter, you need to familiarize yourself with the basic precautions:

  1. It is allowed to use the device outdoors or in a spacious room.

  2. You can not start the quadrocopter near power lines and other obstacles.

  3. The distance from the current mechanism to people or animals should not be less than 3 m. It is forbidden to start the mechanism in close proximity to a large group of people.

  4. Before starting the device, you need to make sure that both its batteries (remote and on-board) are 100% charged.

  5. The device contains lithium-ion batteries - the most explosive of all existing. Therefore, it is important:
    • observe their polarity;

    • Do not disassemble, do not deform them;

    • do not warm;

    • do not short circuit them;

    • do not keep in the same container with metal elements;

    • Do not use the device when it is very hot.

How to learn to control a quadrocopter? First you need to familiarize yourself with your “helm” - the remote control:

  1. Between the joysticks, a button is visible that turns the quadcopter on and off.

  2. The upper left key switches the device from the "beginner" mode to the "confident user" and vice versa.

  3. Management of "gas" - the left joystick "up and down".

  4. Rotate the device around itself (ruder) - left joystick "left and right".

  5. Right under the left joystick is a trimmer that switches it to "Turn smoothly."

  6. A little to the right of it is a small trimmer for the photo mode (upward movement of the joystick) and video (on - down, off - up).

  7. The uppermost right key is a 360-degree quadrocopter flip.

  8. The right joystick controls the direction: up / down, left / right.

  9. Directly below it is a pitch trimmer button.

  10. To the left of the right joystick is a trimmer, making it a device roll regulator.

How to control a Syma quadrocopter: training

Before practical use, you need to try in a safe place all the features of your device described in the previous paragraph. A training is considered to be successfully completed if you have completed the following actions to automatism:

  • safe take-off and landing of the gadget using the "gas" joystick;

  • roll adjustment for tilting in different directions;

  • ruder control for left and right turns;

  • quadrocopter pitch back and forth.

Charging device

Before controlling the quadrocopter, it is necessary to fully charge it. To do this, remove the on-board battery of the device, using the included charger, connect the battery to a power source. A flashing red LED indicates the start of the charging process. Its extinction indicates a full charge of the battery - it will take up to 1.5 hours. Remember to return the battery to the device.

Do not connect the onboard battery wires to the quadrocopter until you turn on the remote control. For the latter to function, it is necessary to provide it with power from four AA finger batteries.
