The village of Krasny Bor (formerly Pyany Bor) is located on the picturesque shore of Kama. This beautiful corner has attracted people since ancient times. In this place and in the surrounding area, archaeologists-historians in the 19th century opened a number of cemeteries and settlements of ancient people. According to research, they lived here in the I-III centuries of our era.

It should be noted that archaeological finds of that period in science are known as “Pianobor culture”. Then the Bulgars-Tatars began to own these territories.

Geographical position

This village is located on one of the banks of the Nizhnekamsk reservoir, at the southern end of the Sarapul Upland. In administrative terms, it refers to the Agryz municipal district of Tatarstan.

The rural settlement is located 85 kilometers from the regional center - the city of Agryz. As part of the Krasnoborsky settlement, the administrative center of which is the village of Krasny Bor, there are 2 settlements: the village of Zuevo and the village itself.

In summer, the Red Forest of Tatarstan attracts many people to fishing. Many fishing enthusiasts come here from all over the republic.

Short story

The first mention of the settlement dates back to 1680. The village at that time was called Drunken Forest. The name was given in the twenties of the XX century. Until 1920, the settlement was the center of the volost of Pianoborsky Vyatka province (Yelabuga district).

From 1920 to 1921, it was part of Votskaya AO. Then to the Chelninsky and Yelabuga cantons of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In the period from 1930 to 1960, Red Bor was the center of the Krasnoborsky district of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

It should be noted that on the opposite bank of the river from the village of Krasny Bor (Tatarstan), on the territory of the now almost flooded swampy lands of the Menzelinsky district, a village called Old Krasny Bor has existed for a long time (in the old one - Old Pyany Bor). Ferry across the river. Kama on the left coast (in the direction of Menzelinsk) acted until the formation of the Nizhnekamsk reservoir.

A bit about Pianobor culture

This culture got its name from two burial grounds located near the village of Pyanyy Bor (today Krasny Bor) on the Kama River. They were discovered in 1880. Monuments of Pianobor, relating to the period from the II century BC. e. until the II century AD, fairly densely concentrated on the right bank of the Kama River, opposite the mouth of the river. Fishing

Among fishing enthusiasts, one of the most fishing spots in Kama is the Krasny Bor of the Agryz district of Tatarstan. These places are pleased with their performance. A variety of fish species are caught.

In this fairly deep river, with different currents and banks, in places closer to the mouth, where the river breaks into picturesque branches, you can fish perfectly. Here are found sterlet, catfish, sturgeon, burbot, bream, common carp, ruff, pike, perch, crucian carp, pike perch, roach, rudd, asp, bleak, ide, ide, silver bream and many other fish.

In some steep places (the height of the cliff reaches 45 meters) there is no way to fish from the shore. Drive up to good points is not always possible. It is necessary to raft in inflatable boats on the river in order to get closer to catching places. In the Red Forest of Tatarstan, fishing from boats is always more effective than from the shore.

Just above the village is the evergreen pine forest, which stretches along the top of the coast. At the foot of this cliff in the summer, a marina operates under the same name with the village - "Red Bor".

Small fish on Kama usually feed on rifts, dumps and karches, and predators hunt for it. A variety of different points in the Red Forest allows you to use different attachments, lures and fishing methods. Burbots and lines are good for tackle fishing with more sensitive floats. The best nozzles are bloodworms and earthworms. Local fish can be fed with cottage cheese and chopped worms. In the passages between the reed beds and in the slow-flowing bays, predatory fish and linen are well caught.

The magnificent, surprisingly beautiful and picturesque place of Tatarstan is Krasny Bor, where pike is caught quite easily. The weight of the catch can reach 8 or more kilograms. This fish is the largest and most frequent trophy, which pleases with its bite.

The pike is so unpretentious that it is found almost everywhere. Lurking in an ambush, behind any shelter, she is ready at any second for a lightning-fast throw to her prey. Especially good autumn zhor pike, which tends to grow with a cooling water. A surge in the activity of this fish is observed just before freezing.
